If it turned out to be a complete fake, I wouldn't be surprised. Some of the better sealed guys (Bronty, Rarebucky, etc.) are the ones who would be the most knowledgeable. With the sort of money involved, I would be super gun shy without seeing some much better pics. Never a great sign when a seller of a high ticket item won't respond to simple questions from potential buyers.
I'll be watching, should be interesting...

Yeah, as Koopa said. From the pics I would guess a vintage reseal, though some better pictures would be needed to say for sure. I would assume it will go for at least CIB SE money, even it was stuffed full of Chinese newspapers from the late 80's it would still be a beautiful box.

I wonder how many, Next Highest Bidders, He will have to contact, before, someone actually pays.

If it ended right now, no more than 1. The second high bidder is not only well known, but well known for spending serious cash.
No idea about the current first place bidder though.

Just 4 left guys, thanks for the support!

Im cleaning out alot of my extra consoles that I have multiples of.
I have up for grabs a Green Skeleton Case Halo Special Edition Xbox that has been soft moded. It currently has XBMC and a few Emulators on it. I used it mainly for XBMC and was going to use it or a Mame cabinet so I loaded a tone of emulators on it to see how they would preform. I in the end Picked up an Acer Revo for my Mame cabinet so now I no longer have a use for this one. It comes with all cables, one controller abd IR Remote.
Askig $50 plus shipping
Also have a Panasonic 3do FZ1 with two Goldstar controllers. It comes with all hookups and the following games
Gex
Soccer Kid
Demo CD
Asking $50 plus shipping
If your interested in both I'll sell them at $80 plus shipping
Still interested in the Xbox, just wondering how big the hard drive is. PM me back when you can!

How does one recall a video game?
Is it: Oops, we made a mistake. Please return this game for a full refund.
Is it: If you put this game in your console it may explode. Please return it for a full refund.
I don't think it would matter what they said, I'd be hanging onto it for eventual resale.
Recalled from stores, not recalled from people who had already purchased it. Nintendo purchased the rights to the game from Bandai, the game was recalled from stores, Nintendo tweaked the ROM and released the game as World Class Track Meet. What we have are the results of games that were either purchased before the recall, or somehow slipped by after the recall occurred.

Bump! All games that have been paid for have been shipped out. Only 6 left, don't miss out!
-
Look at the tin..It's authentic
This made me laugh
. Yeah, it's authentic, and I can confirm that the price that I originally sold them for was $65 shipped. I haven't seen many of these change hands since the first time I sold them, you'd probably have some good luck finding a buyer on nintendoage. Very nice piece, good luck with the sale! -
Bump! List has been updated to reflect the most recent shipments to go out, all other remaining orders that have been paid for will go out early next week.
Not many left, who wants one?
-
1 more sold, only 6 copies left! All orders that have been paid for will ship tomorrow morning, so you international folks that haven't received your copy yet will shortly.
There are a few spots that are going to go back up for grabs if I don't receive payment tonight, so get those payments in, or if you were looking for a specific number, stay tuned!

Got you Ray, thanks!
Tom: Thanks for the props man, I really think we worked hard to make something that looks somewhat professional, it's great to hear that people are enjoying it!
Only 8 left guys, lots more shipped out today too. Thanks again for all of the support!!!

Unfortunately, I can see that this cart will likely be dumped and end up on reproduction sites.
Then end up selling for only 25$.
The likely hood of it being dumped and released is higher than you expect, I always release the ROM to the public immediately after I sell out (my brother and I release a free NES proto ROM on NintendoAge every month).
As for it being sold on repro sites, I have no issue with that at all. I even sent the artwork I used for Hoppin' Mad to Coinheaven to use on TheNESDump repros on our last release.
I love doing this so that everyone can enjoy he ROM, whether they want to buy a copy to support our future projects (and we have plenty lined up
), or if they just want to download the ROM for free and play it on their emulator. It's all good to me! -
Bump!
The list is fully up to date, there now are only 10 games left!
Also, I am going to release numbers back up for grabs if I don't receive payment in the next 24 hours for the remaining games on hold (#34 already has a buyer waiting), so please get your payments in soon!
-
Bump! Only 14 left guys, don't miss out on your chance to own this game!
-
Xenogears123: #48 is spoken for, would you like the next lowest number?
Edit: Just saw your last post, I put you down for #97.
List should be fully up to date, thanks guys!

Not sure if many of you know, but I've been doing my best to release NES protos in either the form of free ROM downloads (distributed monthly on Nintendoage) or in the form of reproductions. We have just finished our second release, Kitty's Catch, and one of only two available Collector's Edition carts is currently up for auction.
eBay Auction -- Item Number: 140379683889
We're really proud of this release and we think you all will like it. Thanks for checking it out!
-
PMs sent to both of you, thanks!
List is fully up to date, more than a 3rd have sold in 17 hours, don't miss out!
-
Thanks for the kind words! This was our second project (after Hoppin' Mad) and although it still took 7 months, I think we really made something special.
You can check out some screen caps and some info I wrote up here: http://www.unseen64.net/2009/06/22/kittie-s-catch-nes-cancelled/

All Gone.

I think I'd lose my mind if I had to erase EPROMs one at a time in that pacifier thing. If you do a lot of programming, you're better off spending the cash. I use this one myself: http://www.bkprecision.com/products/model/851/deluxe-eprom-eraser.html
40 EPROMs at a time, I've never had an issue with it. I've erased 500+ chips in it and it just saves a TON of time. I think I got mine used on EBay for around $80, but don't quote me on that.

Sorry for necroposting, but a while ago, I found an NES repro of Xybots. I didn't buy it, but now am kicking myself for doing so, unless the rom has been released in the past 3 years this topic had gotten started, in which case, I want a repro made if the ROM is out there. I wonder if the rom has been released yet.
The ROM has been out for years, feel free to buy a repro from Coin Heaven's site: http://www.thenesdump.com/screen%20shot%20pages/prototypes/xybots.htm

Anyone find out if that version of cosmic chasm was any different from the final version? I love cosmic chasm, such an awesome, original, game.
I have since traded the proto, but when played back to back with the retail version I could find no noticeable differences.

Got a few more things up for sale:

First up: 8 DIFFERENT builds of Activision's Heavyweight Championship Boxing for Game Boy. $100 OBO
A neat little set of protos, 7 of which are WIPs at different stages in development, followed by a EPROM of the final version burnt before production. I think the price is reasonable for 8 protos at $12.50 a piece.
Lastly: MUSHA Genesis prototype. $250 OBO
I don't know a whole about this proto as I don't have the final build to compare it to. It's a very tough game to track down in it's completed form, and I know a lot of collectors would love to have this on their shelf.
Arcadia VI is still available as well at the intial asking price of $1.5k OBO
Thanks for taking a look, feel free to ask any questions!
-
Just going to bump this once to see if there is any interest at all. I was thinking in the ballpark of $1.5k if that would help folks decide one way or another if they were interested in purchasing it.

FT/FO: 1 Unreleased NES proto, 4 Gameboy protos, 3 Blank GB proto boards
in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Posted · Edited by MrMark0673
Hi folks,
Just looking to grab some more NES protos and I was looking to either trade or sell some of my Gameboy stuff and a double of an unreleased game.
First up, one of 2 known copies of Hoppin' Mad:
This is my second copy of Hoppin' Mad, and to my knowledge no others have ever been seen/found/owned by a collector. This is the exact same build as my other copy (2 complete levels, a third playable level with no enemies, constant loop) and I think this one has a cooler label. I'm more attached to my first copy as it was the first unreleased game I purchased in the wild, so this one is up for grabs.
Next up, 2 Super Scrabble Gameboy protos on large dev carts: Top Copy is SOLD!!!
Appear to be the same build, and both appear finished though I cannot say for certain. The second one pictured has a sticker that I put on and has my handwriting on it.
Next, another Super Scrabble proto and a Mousetrap Hotel proto on short dev carts:
Same deal as before on the Super Scrabble, aside from the super cool dev case. The Mousetrap Hotel cart has what appears to marker that someone tried to take off that reads "Property of Milton Bradley" and the rest is illegible to me.
Next, a blank long dev cart:
What you see is what you get with this one. All of the long dev carts have a sticker with dip switch settings on the back.
Last, 2 blank short Gameboy dev carts:
One has a faded stamp that reads "confidential" and the other has the cool dev sticker again. The cart on the left is for a 28 pin EPROM, the left for a 32 pin EPROM.
In regards to trades, I am looking for ANY NES proto stuff I can get my hands on that I don't already have. My list can be found here: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=35&threadid=24859
I'm open to all trade offers, just let me know what you have and what you want and we can more than likely work something out.
I'm open to any and all cash offers, again just let me know what you have in mind.
Feel free to ask any questions, thanks!
