  1. Sounds like something to... (crunch)... (smash)... (goes to kitchen)... (opens microwave)... (presses "BEVERAGE")... Shiny!!! Agh, the fumes!!! (THUD)
  2. got them saturday, but... -army field coat, -army dress jacket. both vietnam era, same paygrade and division markings. $25.
  3. Hmmm...this thread just gave me an idea... I'll say more eventually.
  4. Cool! I was wondering what was with that. No go on the old board thing though. Alot of nuts and bolts in there though. Powered it on and it works!
  5. Lost, you must've set a land-speed record! 6 hours from eastern southwest connecticut to Ontario? What were you doing? 100 MPH the whole way? It said on two map sites that it should've gotten there in about 10 hours, about 540 miles. That's about all i could understand. I'm rhyme impaired. final verification: WHAT was on the shirt i was wearing? And why were you talking about salami?
  6. I don't think so. I think my dad won it. As of the first writing, I was pretty freakin confused, and my mind has finally cleared. I went down into the basement because i heard the rear hatch into the basement opening. I go downstairs and see it and all other lights down there on. I go into the room between the kitchen and garage: the front door's unlocked. I look outside and there's a van in the driveway. My dad tells me to turn on the back yard light (small yard). I look out front again and they're pulling an arcade game out of the van. I think "Did dad buy his own Galaga?" (he's a fan of that particular game). I went downstairs into the basement and my dad and two men are wheeling it to the hatch, then bring it down the stairs. When they get it upright where it is in those pictures, one of the men starts congradulating me on my new game (THAT'S when i got confused!). My dad and the second man started to talk about the same thing. the first man said it was my "birthday, christmas, thanksgiving (<--WHAT?-->) and easter" present. Then my dad told me to lock up the hatch and the door, and the two men left, then my dad. They then went somewhere. I turned off the basement lights, went up to the first floor, locked the front door, then went up to the second floor, and started typing the thread start.
  7. Well awhile in the future, if you have a job opening for a electronics tech, I might be able to do it. Not quite yet though, as I'm still in high school. Probably another 6 or 7 years, so...yeah. It'll be a long while from now.
  8. Well it seems OK for the most part, aside from blown lamps behind the refund buttons. Some screen burn: high score, lives, game over, and top border burned in partially. Border thing around the outside of the screen missing.Took the key form inside the coin door and opened up the back. All seems well. It'll need to be fired up soon.
  9. That's the thing. I didn't even enter any raffles at all this year!
  10. If you don't understand what i mean, i'm just flat out confused.
  11. I'm confused. I don't know how, but somehow I have an Arkanoid game in my basement. I'm pretty confused. It wasn't there three hours ago when I had to get somethin out of the toolroom. My dad and two of his friends just came over and wheeled it into my basement. All I have to say: ........???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?? NOTE: sorry they're at 90 degree angles.
  12. All i have to say: look at my location, and the fact that i have: A)No car, and B) No job. All i find? zip, zero, nadda, zilch, NOTHING! Almost always the same junk.
  13. I've never gotten any games from goodwill, but... Audio output tester- $.50 Insight 386/26SX laptop (no OS - going to get the windows 3.1 or 3.0)- $25
  14. Those modifications are WAAAY better than what I could do. I'd end up making the system look like a pile of duct tape, or I'd end up putting the thing in a generic plastic enclosure. Keil, that kinda reminds me of something a friend of mine did. He put an optical computer mouse into an altoids can. it worked.
  15. Well, if you had the permission and equipment (and a core drill- find out what's down there before you dig: black plastic bits, cardboard, and cicuit board bits= dig here !) you could find out where exactly it happened in the dump. look at the picture- the dump angles a little bit away from where bigfoot is. looks deep, but that just adds to the challenge. i'm probably wrong, but if they poured concrete on the supposed pile of games, the concrete would move downhill while wet. not to mention that you'd be able to dig diagonally, considering the age of the occurence you'd go through through a lot of garbage, but not an insane amount. if it were more recent, the amount of junk to dig through would be much less, possibly to the point of being able to dig horizontally. As i said, i may be completely wrong here... that bigfoot thing, though... moycon might be on to something...
  16. I'm only sick of trying to find places to buy games aside from the internet.
  17. WAS going to buy River Raid II at the only used game store I know of today, but LUCKY ME!!! They're OUT OF BUSINESS! Got to play it afew months ago, but didn't have the money at the time. Anyway... rarest i got is a bunch of 2s. 10 games altogether, about 6 2s
  18. Well i feel stupid. I made an error, and yuo corrected me. Thank you remo. Honestly, what do you expect? I'm not very old, and have alot ore to learn. (shakes head) OK enough of that...
