  1. Multiboot tools should allow you to write each single file out to a boot disk, and I'm sure there are a few tools to convert a boot loader to a DOS binary file. The ones with DATA files trailing might be a bit more complex tho.
  2. Colourspace The witnesses for the defence rest, your honour.
  3. lol. Try adding sprites flying around on top of the Atari vertical pencil image, full stop. It's already multiplexing a bunch of PMGs to get those colours (with only 10 pencils, might I add). Meanwhile the c64 one could have a whole flock of sprites flying round the screen... but oh me oh my... at certain points one or more of the colours in a sprite might be the same as a line of pixels in the background under that sprite, so it is all ruined. Ruined I tell you! I'd rather have no sprites left than have to put up with that! Ah I get it. C64 people can "change the rules" but atari people can't. Ok. One of the colours "might" overlap - I think its a 100% certainly on the c64.
  4. It's called mindless trolling. If he could understand subtlety he'd understand 256 colours. As for those pencils (either vertical OR horizontal) - try adding a sprite that doesnt merge into any part of it as it crosses the screen on the C64 (and no, drawing a big ugly black outline around it won't cut it here)
  5. We're on page 324. I want my knives! I'm only seeing 195 pages - maybe you have different settings Yay! Let's argue about Atari Age forum display settings! PS. My settings are better than your settings. And they use less CPU time. And possibly the joystick port works better, but frankly, who really cares?

  7. Can someone (a mod) please move this thread to the jaguar section where it belongs?
  8. Just to let you all know the Easter Bunny left you all a little something special over on our site [Here] for all Atari folks around the globe. Please feel free to leave your comments [here]
  9. The D-Bug Website is where you can find us - click PATCHES at the top - we also have a forum there as well. Happy gaming!
  10. Thats great news I'd let the 360 go before the Falcon, they're easier to replace!
  11. From an Atari ST perspective. "Oh, it's in the borders. Thats kinda cool. Didn't we just see that plasma effect with those exact same colours in the last bit?" From an Atari A8 perspective. "Oh, it's in the borders. Ummm. What's so special about that?. Oh, it's a plasma effect with the exact same colours as last time." From a general viewer of the video perspective. "My god that is MIND BENDINGLY REPETETIVE. Oh my god, it's only half way." <clicks close window> Really, if you want to talk Commode, go to a Commode forum. Or don't bitch when the Atari folk on this one gank you
  12. That is an amazing sound to come from an a8 - well done indeed!
  13. At 50fps it will just be like a really cheap milkshake. Smooth, but still BORING AS ALL HELL Do you C64 guys enjoy watching the exact same plasma effect (with a fixed pallette) fifty billion times only in a different part of the screen? Sorry that I am not amazed at the same texture routine at 0.0001 fps anymore. Nothing is hard to do on an 8 bit computer if the framerate doesn't matter. And your point is? I already said it was technically good. That doesn't make it interesting to watch though. I found it boring. That's my perspective on it.

  15. Well, I learned three things from this thread. 1) Drunken Chessboard is really cool (Never seen that before) 2) The "Best Demo on the C64" may be cool, but it is MIND BENDINGLY BORING. and 3) 16 colour plasmas get old very, very, very quickly. Especially when repeated ad nausium (I must admit I gave up at the "swap disk" part due to tedium) Seriously, WHO CARES? The A8 can play Rescue of Fractalus MUCH better, but Racing Destruction Set is far nicer on the C64. Get over it and stop comparing. Jeez, is it 1982 again?
  16. What an old thread! Anyway, the answer is "a lot" - but probably not much on the MSTE. They're on The D-Bug Website along with approx. 12% of all commercial ST games
  17. Just as soon as we get them they'll be on our website for you all - which judging by the speeds some of you were getting off the torrents might be worth the wait
  18. Just look up three posts from your last one......
  19. He's using HDDriver, the adapter is ICD :-) The fact that one thing is affecting another points very much to corrupted FAT tables tho.
  20. Ok folks, the Antic DVDs are now completely online at our archive. Grab them here.
  21. Two things come to mind here.... 1) corrupted FAT tables or other partition damage. or 2) Bad STE DMA chip. also... As we've stated so many, many times in the past that it's becoming tedious you must have your HD caches set to absolute minimum to run our patches (That's 999k in HDDriver's control panel)
  22. Nuclear Games List Any of those?
  23. They are all pretty much the same and crop up on ebay quite often - however you would be better off re-selling the STm to a collector and picking up an STE - a better machine, and you will probably come out on top financially as well.
  24. Hi, We have the disks now (they arrived today and look GREAT!) - they'll be on the D-Bug archive shortly. Thanks!
  25. D-Bug a8 Archive It's slowly growing - we had some issues with our hosting company thinking we were trying to install a torrent tracker (doh!) but we've got the green light to basically host whatever we want there. We're currently working on the ST archive as well, but we hope to expand both with anything and everything we can find. more info at: The D-Bug Website
