  1. For all the talk of use 'high grade disks' in my experience unless its pressed it doesn't matter at all what you use. I've had many fails with high grade taios and many successes with no-brand wtf are these. Also the other way around. Given how utterly random it all is, I'd go with bottom of the shelf cheap CDs because when they don't work you haven't wasted as much cash. Also, I'd go with throwing the entire thing out (or selling it) and holding off for the JagGD support. Because the toilet seat really is a piece of s**t hardware.
  2. I have a greaseweasle I could image them with - however, the double sided ones would need to be de-sleeved to image them. I'm in Adelaide.
  3. Apparently if you say the magic words, no, not "yes please" or "thank you", but "saucer wars" he'll go away. Worth a try.
  4. 'nearly air tight' - a phrase meant to convery 'full of holes air can easily get through' apparently. Wonder what 'bulletproof' means? Jeff, please don't design any spaceships.
  5. Jagtopia is available for free download to bypass the security checks. It's also built into several homebrew games.
  6. For the original code... it won't be. However, those new instructions can prepare data or registers for the next chunk of code.
  7. Glad you enjoy the game enough to check I do hope you fix this. Reading back, that was... uncalled for. No excuses, but I'll admit when I'm wrong. Good luck with fixing the Jaguar.
  8. Checked the code again: If A+0 is held down the screen will strobe black/white for about 3-5 seconds. Do you see that on bootup when it corrupts? I still think you should check with another controller to confirm and rule out the possibilty of a short.
  9. Wow. Just wow. So you'd rather someone mail you a console through USPS because you cannot be bothered to test with another controller. That is just... wow. I have no words for the stupidity involved here. g'day, sir.
  10. Yeah, it was. Rebooteroids saw rather extensive testing, as do all my games. I'm not perfect, which is why I checked the code. But this seems related to you and you alone. If you aren't prepared to test a fault on the only different piece of hardware in the mix then I'm not going to assist any further. How hard is it for you to test with a standard controller?? Maybe I should add: "grips03 modified controlers might possibly cause issues with this game" to the site? /smfh
  11. I'm happy you are so sure in your work you don't need to check it. I wish I had your confidence, but alas, I did check if it might have been a problem on my side. Try a normal joypad. Your hardware is the only difference to hundreds of other copies of this. And Rebooteroids *DOES* check the port status on boot, and *WILL* erase the EEPROM if it finds A+0.
  12. Yes, its when its plugged into your console Joking aside - The game only does that when you select the option from the menu or it cannot verify the checksum and re-creates the save block. [EDIT] Also if A+0 are held on boot - in case of corruption it can be reset. [EDIT] If I'm not mistaken, Raiden uses A for fire. I'd suspect your autofire mod is strobing A+0 randomly. [EDIT] Your "it seems very random" would be consistent with "is my autofire circuitry on or off?" when it reads the port to check. My BJL Jaguar does *very* odd things when volatges are put on the joyport pins not designed to have volteges on them (used the wrong BJL cable!) so maybe check that as you might be using non-standard controllers.
  13. Number of copies shipped: Many Number of people reporting that:1 It's your Jaguar, or something plugged into it.
  14. Or.. maybe watch a video of Rebooteroids on YouTube and compare. If there isn't one of the thing you need to compare let me know and I'll make one. Its a bit ridiculous to ask someone to ship a Jaguar (and pay for it) for this.
  15. Rebooteroids uses a standard U235SE Engine. Nothing more, nothing less. There's an abundence of other titles using this DSP engine. What problems are you having?
  16. Fun and +1 for not adding a turd coloured toroid donut jerking around the screen at 5fps!
  17. There are always far more people who will not buy a homebrew game than those who do.
  18. Well, well, well... Something caught my eye in the image in the video.. played about with the colours and saturation in PSP... Original Image: Colour edited and mirror: The other side appears to say "DC RIP" + something else... but it couldn't possibly be... because he denied all knowledge.... Hello, Dave.
  19. Thanks Rick! It will end up on a compilation cart at some point - I don't feel its strong enough to warrant a stand-alone release. Maybe 10 years ago, but not now
  20. I have that cart now. And yes, thats the only way I can get it to work as well.
  21. What you are saying is... its the KFC of Jaguar games...
  22. I spent about as much time poking around as Atari did caring about making a fun game
