Yeah that changes it from a totally unfun, unplayable mess into a... err.. ok doesn't do much for it
-
You know its a full emulator and I just shove the disks into it and have them done in minutes with absolutely no effort or skill, right?

Can't help if the people making the compilations are dumb Anyway, as said above, use JiFFi to make ROMs.

Layereds' Layer - The A-Z of C64 games reviewed
CyranoJ replied to RetroLiar's topic in Gaming Publications and Websites
Ah, the Reboot-HQ incident. Kieren must often recount to anyone who will listen the tales of his life spent doing strange things in male toilets. -
Just a quick note. Don't confuse Public Domain, Shareware and Freeware. eg, none of the Reboot "free download" releases are Public Domain, they are Freeware.

So should I offer you mine for $649.98 USD + shipping? You might get it by April if I mail it today, LOL

There never fails to be someone who can't use google or do any research who will click buy.

Public Service Announcement: RB+ is over

Only on Windows XP. -
And you can't toggle PAL/NTSC. And if you remove a ROM from the library interface it actually *deletes the file*

Public Service Announcement: RB+ is over

OK, update time: This is being actively worked on at this moment. We have split the build into seperate modules: rB+, RAPTOR, U235, Zero, etc. Commands have been renamed to make more sense (no more powa-whatever!) and each module's calls have been prefixed, eg: rapPrint, u235PlayModule, etc. Some commands have been unified (There is now one call for reading the pad, regardless of which DSP engine is in use.) RAPTOR API2.x has replaced the old RAPTORv1 API, so this should now easily get ongoing support and fixes via the API and new functions when added. The ROM builder now adds the fast GPU depack by default and enables 6MB mode on the skunkboard (Side effect: Bank2 of the skunk cannot be flashed with an rB+ ROM due to this) General optimisations We have also renamed this project to: JagStudio JagStudio consists of: The build environment (rB+ toolchain and compiler) RAPTOR API 2.x U235 Sound Engine ZeroPlayer Sound Engine Any other module we add The other reason for the rename is because the changes made will render existing rB+ code as uncompilable (we have a simple checklist for porting your code over, so don't fear! Search/Replace can do it!) and because we don't want support requests for JagStudio to go back into the rB+ forums. We are currently working on: Finishing up all the calls Testing all the calls Documentation Examples Once all this is done, we will announce and release it. Please be patient - it will be worth it. And keep playing with rB+ in the meantime, as I said above, you can easily bring your code over to JagStudio when we release it! The JagStudio Team -
I've seen worse things boxed and sold.

If we truly wanted to be disrespectful, we'd put a $70 price tag on it and leave it unfinis

select case jeffchoice case win // listen to what people are saying here and learn and grow from it and make better games. // case lose // throw a tantrum, ignore everything, continue on the path of failure // end select I have 2 new years resolutions: 1. 352x240. 2. Not responding to child-men. [addendum] I'm going to say what other's here won't - because saying bad things about homebrew is somehow taboo. As a free release, this would be barely passible as a beginners efforts that should be encouraged. As a commercial release, this looks HORRIBLE. No doubt you'll consider it finished, slap a $70 tag on it and shill it to whoever you can fleece, and that is the real crime against the community here.
-
Then you should probably try implementing it so collisions work in at least one of your games.
-
And this is why the collisions in *ALL* your games are wrong. The hitbox sizes do *NOT* scale with the sprite scale size. Again, it's a failure to understand something rudementary on your part. Stop projecting and writing essays that just dig the hole deeper.
-
Does this really matter if it's a new .bas file if it looks like the exact same thing re-skinned again? Animated image for a backdrop - check. Sprites scaling in with no regard for z-order - check. clipart - check. short, looping sample in low quality - check.

Can the following people please PM me (Do NOT post it here!!!) their postal address for their prizes? Thanks for playing

Maybe we're all seen Fast food 3D graphics swap too many times already?
-
Well, no, because I released my API. So we're at the same point.
-
Well, I haven't done that since I wrote my library in 2012... so... It's something you only need to do once... and isn't that complicated anyway.... being one of the few fully documented parts of the system.

Oh. I woke up and this thing is still rambling on. There's this button at the top... looks like this: There's at least an infinite number of threads exactly like this....
