  1. Did you have problems with the plane when making your hack? I tried making a Keystone Kapers hack several times. And everytime it comes to the plane, a huge blinking bar is under it, hitting you and make you lose a life. Even if you try to duck under the plane.

that was the problem exactly with the plane.

it kept having the bar your mentioned. that was real pain to fix

plus when I had that fixed then I saw that the top of the kop wasn't touching the missile I had to modify the hat so the tip would touch the missile(which also why I lowered the missile because the if I left it in the place it was it wouldn't work out)

  2. about safariland:

they offered the deals and bowling, pizza and video games are cool.

We don't have to do if we don't want too.

Webbergrill might be costly(plus there might me be some us who don't have ride(me for example, but my sibs are driving me to the hotel and back) and if we do want burgers and talk for less expensive theres a mickey d's and bk right next door to hotel.

    my 2 cents.

    Dan Iacovelli

(ps. I'm not putting down the idea for either sarfiland or WG just pointing out the facts)

I did forget to mention: I already have a city search link set up at vgs website (click on the vgs links button, it will take you to the yahoo groups

links page there are three things listed, sponsors links folder, quality inn

and suites link from choice hotels and the city search link) if you click on that it will list the hotel with a small list of links that will take you to places near the hotel.

  4. Works great. The hack kicks ass. Nice look to it! a much better effect on slimming him down! thanks

Thanks, my main problem though was the missile had to figure how make sure that it will work the similar way as the orginal. I orignally cut the hat on kop down to look like a hair cut but that didn't work so I lowered it down a bit and changed the hat so it will touch the missile.

    Dan Iacovelli

(feel free to post screen shots(pcaewin only does the small size pics)

  5. Doesn't even work for stella. Love to see a working one! Good luck! I had the same type of problem with a pitfall hack I did a while back. played fine on mine but no one else could play it on theirs.

I think that it might be the file size content (I noticed that the hack had 4110k instead of the standard 4096k)

resaved the program using pcaewin to save it as a 4096k.

    this file might work

  6. well thanks to AHD I have compleated my first Hack.

Gameplay is still the same as Keystone Kapers:collect certine objects and watch for others to catch crook.

but the now the objects are changed: Radio is now a bomb(with a lit fuse), the breif case is now a gun(a bad look one though sorry), carts are now small robots, the gold bag is changed just a bit(I couldn't get to look like a bomb was too hard) and one important thing the jet plane is now a low flying missile. (the ball is also changed into a skull and crossbones)

I trimed down the krook(who is now known as dr X) and the kop (who is now known as of course laserman .(I also changed the hats too)

the zipped rom is attched(I'll get some pics of the game later on)

  7. Is there someone on this board that can help to translate this site...

JAGFEST2004 in Japan would cool.... :D

    http://www.bekkoame.ne.jp/%7Eokiyasu/

heres what I got from the translostor(wordlingo):

They are 0 questions. When Jagfest2004 in JAPAN it holds, we would like to go, is? Well, that thinking, whether well, about July in about September the Japanese somewhere whether also it is funny to try doing, the る it is, but how probably will be? It sells, at the small meeting place, what in large quantities being, with thinking, whether also it is good to try putting emphasis to the exhibition and play, even when without, it increases. Well, the method which can sell on the spot the Jaguar software demands? However the り so is, don't you think? (^ ^

  8. safariland is sort of like chuck e Cheese and enchanted castle but a bit better.

here is a url of the place in villa park,IL:

    http://www.invillapark.com/biz/safari.htm

I'm going to call the place today to find out some details about the package deal.

    Dan Iacovelli

Just a quick update on the package deal from safariland:

they gave us three to choice from:

    #1 $12.00 Per Person

    Bowling & Shoe Rental

    Go-Karts

    $5.00 Game Card

    Pizza & Beverage *

    ---------------------------

    Package # 2

    $10.00 Per Person

    Roller Coaster Ride

    Tilt-A Whirl Ride

    $5.00 Game Card

    Pizza & Beverage*

    --------------------

    Package # 3

    $9.00 Per Person

    Bowling & Shoe Rental

    $5.00 Game Card

    Pizza & Beverage *

    ------------------------------

    • Pizza’s come with the choice of one topping. Additional toppings may be added for $1.00 per pizza.

    • Groups will have the option to choose two different beverages from our soda & juice fountain.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I think # 3 is best deal to go for. if others want to to go for rides

they can pay for them selves.

( I need a min. of 15 people though. they also say it intended for non-profit organazations, but for us they might let it slide)

I'm going to post a new topic about going our after the show so

I could get a better idea.(there also other places near there if we just ant to go for burgers or such)

  9. I wanted to let people know I willbe able to make it. :) I am glad I get to go on a road trip to Chicago...  So, does anyone have any requests on what I should bring?    I have just about every system you could think of...  Keep in mind my space is limited to a Honda Accord though. ;)

    Matt,

bring what you can (any non-atari item is welcome) also if you want to reserve your table(s) and pay them at the door e-mail me and I'll make sure to reserve them you.

    Dan

  10. Dan, I'm sending my check out today for two tables.

I'll be there with some stuff showing what the C64 community is up to, and plugging the Fall Commodore Expo (at the same location in October).

I'll also be selling Atari & Coleco stuff...maybe some Commodore stuff too.  I've just got way too much stuff that I never use anymore.

Dave, let me know where you want your tables to be located(next to Scat

usersgroup will be good I think)

    I await your payment

    Dan

  12. For everyone who's coming to the VGS from AA, I was thinking about afterwards making a trek somewhere afterwards to 'get together' with the AA buds.  WOuld ya be up for it, and then where would you like to go?

inky you haven't been reading the e-mails from the vgs lists or my post in the vgs topic in the events.

I'm working on details to have people come to safariland (down the street from the hotel) after the show.

    Dan Iacovelli

  13. I am going to try and make it but I'm not sure yet.  How many people were you expecting to show?  I'll probably bring some stuff to sell/trade but I don't know if I want a table.  Philly for me this year was fun as hell but, by the time I drove out, paid for hotel/admission, ect, it cost me a lot of money.  This is a lot closer for me but I'd have to leave at 4a.m. in order to make the show when it starts.

I'm hoping for 40+ to come so it can make uu for the cost of the room.

currently hotel rates are: 79.00 per night(standard)or 71.00 (internet specails). I do not have a deal with the hotel for rooms but I do keep an eye on it every month to see what they are.

  14. I was wondering when this who thing was announced back in october 2002

that this was being planned we got alot of input. but now it coming down to the last weeks and now I see that interest has died to nill.

(I'm still going on with it, just want to know who else besides me,inky and bohus are going be there(rob M. what about gravity ball I saw the demo of it at MWC(yes I was there) will be able to see it at VGS).

    Dan Iacovelli

  15. Now that JFUK reports flow, I feel the empty space left by the MWC guys.

Only one report has been found at AVC site. Nothing more. No pictures, No attendance stats. Come on people!

    Ciao.

    Paolo,

that report was done by memoery. plus I didn't want it all to be about the jagfest section. as for the pics: I didn't bring my camera (I was going to but I figured since I had to stay by the jagfest section to show off the games and such I woudn't be able to take pics(this won't happen at VGS though :) ) btw: didn't goodwill hunter(I think thats his name) post pics of MWC up at this fourm a while back.

    Dan Iacovelli

ps. as for attendance I figure close to 50+ they had(it was hard to determine since most of the tables were in mix layout)
