We are happy to announce that the new GDG store HOMEBREW HEAVEN is now online! We invite you to come check it out - over 300 homebrew games all in one location. Be sure to check out the Atari 5200 and Atari 7800 listings in particular! There are dozens of other surprises too, so be sure to poke around! Several projects in the works, and we also added several new interviews with homebrew programmers. If your a homebrewer and we haven't contacted you yet, please contact us and we'll talk. Thanks again to Albert of Atari Age for all his help and support, as well as the GDG faithful over the years. This new venture, while smaller, has me quite excited and should prove to be a quite a ride. It sure is nice to be back :-) best, Michael of GDG's Homebrew Heaven www.GoodDealGames.com

Thanks for the kind words, and we are VERY EXCITED to have you on board concerning the NEW GDG with Homebrew focus. Your Colecovision games are fantastic and we always welcome a new game or two to play on my "first love." Let's talk and regroup and make something magical happen! Long live the Colecovision! Best, Michael of GDG www.GoodDealGames.com

Yes, it all seems to have worked out quite nicely. A much smaller operation should be manageable, and I can focus more on what really excites me, the homebrew scene. Nothing makes me smile more than popping a new game into a vintage console. Speaking of which, GDG will have two new interviews online with homebrewers this week, so be sure to check 'em out. Again, I truly and honestly appreciate all the support that my family received - classic gamers are truly the best! I do plan on attending shows, I may be able to attend more of them now, actually. Hope to see you soon! best, Michael

I have sold my entire inventory of 10,000+ games. The good news is that I have retained the GDG name, website and the domain. So, Good Deal Games will remain operating but as a hobbyist site. Currenlty, sales will only be the GDG releases (GDG brand items such as our Sega CD and Colecovision games, audio CDs, et cetera) and the new upcoming GDG will be a website with a HOMBREW focus. So, instead of selling 10,000 items for all systems, we will carry, say 100 items, that are mostly homebrew, rare or anything else that tickles my fancy. No common stuff, etc. We will also still carry the magazines I write or do artwork for (ReVival, Video Game Collector, Video Game Trader, Hardcore Gamer, etc. ) as well as all book releases I'm involved with by Leonard Herman. Again, a KIND and SINCERE THANK YOU to all those that have crossed my path over the last few years. I will still be "be on the scene" so to speak, just with less bulky games Michael of GDG www.GoodDealGames.com

WOW, all I can say is WOW... The classic gaming community has meant a great deal to me over the years. I will certainly not be leaving the scene even if I do decide to sell GDG, but the kind words that I have just read makes my heart melt and definitely makes me sad that I may have to part with my baby (sigh) I am too heavily invested in my personal hobby to ever part, but the business side of things is taking it's toll and interfering with family and those that need me... As far as "7800 Fiend" goes, I'm not sure why he cannot reach me. I only communicate through e-mail and telephone, as I am no longer hip or young to communicate in more modern means, but I do personally reply to every e-mail that comes through, regardless of wether I am able to assist or not. All I can say is that I never heard from you "7800 fiend" but give me a call and we'll chat. How may I be of service? Sincerely, Michael of GDG www.GoodDealGames.com

Okay, this is a "feeler" so to speak. Please note that I am CONSIDERING selling the business. Most of you know that I have been "on the scene" for over thirty years, and retrogaming is my LOVE! Please note that I am NOT closing up shop or anything, so you may continue to place orders which will be honored. I personally do not want to sell the organization, but personal responsibilities may deem that I do so... With the long-term illness and death of father, I have become the primary caretaker for my disabled mother, my mentally challenged sister and three of her four children, in addition to my own personal family including a newborn. Anyway, here is some basic information... Over 10,000 items in inventory, most of which is new factory sealed. Since 1990, we have sold over 12,000 individual games, with established regular and returning clientele base. We receive more than 2,000 distinct individuals each day - almost 4 million UNIQUE visitors to the website since its’ inception. The company has a FANTASTIC reputation and name recognition. Being online before retro-gaming became fashionable, and coupled with sponsorship and appearances at dozens of videogame expos, people know our brand name. Web domain name is very established. Any Google or Alta Vista search for keywords such as “Classic Videogame” or “Classic Videogames” ranks us in the top 40, netting such admirable positions as #1, #4, #14, #19 and #36 out of over 20 million results. Furthermore, the organization has an unheard of 7+ year FLAWLESS 100% Positive Feedback report from E-Bay. The domain alone is valued at over 10K. In addition to our inventory and reputation, we are a destination spot for video gamers. The website has over 400 pages of content (articles, interviews, social networking, comics, etc.) that draw visitors to the website, thus increasing sales. The plan can easily be modified to work as a traditional “brick and mortar” operation in any town, while still accepting online orders for additional revenues. If a new owner were to focus on the business full time, the rewards could be even more amazing! Serious inquires contact (716) 649-4653. Ask for Michael. Thank you!

Yesterday Nintendo announced some of their fall lineup titles such as a new Wario platformer and another Kirby title. But they didn't spill all the beans. That's right, while not officially announced, inside sources at GDG headquarters report that the Big 'N' will be announcing a new Kid Icarus title in just less than three weeks!
