I don't even have that much house spaceNor do I - the whole collection's squished into a 12x12 space. It's still do-able.

This sort of thing makes me think twice about ever finishing that all-text Apple II game I have leftover from the early 90s and putting it out there.

-
Let us please read more carefully next time and try to understand fully what it is that is being said before taking things out of context and thereby actually creating a problems.Sorry if you read it that way...speaking only for myself, I was trying to forestall any problems. My apologies if I read too much between the lines.
I'd go to AGE too if I could, but my schedule and my brother's schedule (he lives in Austin) just aren't going to mesh that weekend. However, I am trying to convince him to at least check it out for himself, and to take my niece to show her how he and I wasted so much of our time growing up.
With my luck, she'd get hooked and he'd be on my doorstep demanding custody of the family VCS.

In other words, it's WarioWare for the ColecoVision.
Yes! Yes, that's an excellent way to look at it.
Thanks MMF, I think you've just found the justification for the whole thing...as if any was needed.

Not really sure you can compare the two anyway - one is a one-day event, one is a two-day event.
Anyway, here's hoping CGE, ACE and OKGE are all hella fun. That's all that counts in my book.

-
I am, but I think you already knew that.

-
I'm planning on going this year, though financially it's been a rocky road (just in general). I've wanted to go to CGE since 2000. Gotta go this year, even if I gotta sell blood plasma.
-
Definitely seek out the rather Ultima-esque Tunnels of Doom for the TI99/4A.
I don't really dislike many consoles either. I'm not partial to most post-NES-era systems, but that's more to do with the game library.
I shall now go and plot fiery retribution for those who have dissed my beloved Odyssey 2 in this thread.

Thank you, thank you, don't applaud, just throw money.

I think I've sussed out what he's trying to do here. He's trying to get us to tell us how to go back in time and corrupt history so that Nintendo bites it and Atari reigns supreme!
We must guard that information with our lives.
In the meantime, I'll just be hopping into a DeLorean to make sure that Magnavox gets the Namco licensing deal, because the Odyssey 2 could've done Pac-Man a lot better.

-
I think one thing alone would've saved Atari: licensing the Famicom from Nintendo and being the US distributor for it. They had the opportunity. Everyone was psyched about the partnership. And then it didn't happen.
Even then, it's likely that Nintendo would've gone it alone at some future date, with the Game Boy, SNES, N64 or Game Cube, and Atari then would've been left high and dry.

For the O2, Blackjack is the same as Las Vegas Blackjack - rarity 1. That's an interesting one, since the cart says Blackjack, but the box and manual say Las Vegas Blackjack. Not sure why they did it that way.
Here is its listing in Will's guide.
-
I don't have a rarity guide, just reviews. Will's got a very good one at his site though; check out the US rarity guide here.
-
I've had an interview with Bob Harris (of Killer Bees fame) up for quite a while, and there are some vintage (early 80s) interviews in the Odyssey Adventure magazine scans section as well (those can be accessed from Will's site too).
I'd give various seldom-used parts of my anatomy for the chance to do an in-depth interview with Ed Averett, though. Assuming I could keep myself from going "duhhhhh...." before thanking him for writing a large portion of the games that I spent my childhood on.

-
I think there's a proto out there, but nothing that's been dumped. I'd like to think that maybe the revelation of this material would encourage whoever has it to make it available.
Did Bradford have any left over design documents, aside from artwork, for Sherlock Holmes?
-
I tend to avoid this genre like the plague unless the setting or play mechanics amuse me enough. Console-wise, I'll have to go with Skeleton for the 2600 and Star Wars: Dark Forces for PS1. No, really, those are my picks.
For PC...gonna go with Doctor Who: Destiny Of The Doctors. Goofy as hell, but the Doctor Who settings and characters make it for me.

-
No, there was a pre-Stella cart-based console that was set aside, I'm fairly sure of it. I think it was mentioned in the book "High Score," complete with a photo of the prototype system.
-
I'd be seeing all of the above. Then again, I'm always interested in seeing stuff I've never seen before. I'll be sure to bring my camera.

-
What about the Video Brain? Or was that the Game Brain? Or the Brain That Wouldn't Die, But Still Didn't Get Released? It was canned in favor of Stella.
-
"We're number one! All others are number two or lower!"
- Mystery Men
I do come in here a lot and say the Odyssey 2 rocks, but I'm not slagging off anyone else's console of choice.
Well, okay, maybe if it was game.com...
-
Saw this thread from the menu and I was afraid he was going to be complaining about the fact that I did put my actual photo in there.

I'm not sure I dig this idea, guys. We've got a fairly constructive community here...do we really want to introduce a popularity (or lack thereof) contest, and all of its attendant baggage, to the mix?
I just see this idea as having the potential to become really nasty and destructive to the goodwill that exists here most of the time (though not so much of late, as it would seem).

Well, '84 at the earliest until the Tramiels put it on ice - not the 1982 that ElectricTroy is suggesting.

Shuttle Orbiter and Wall Ball...good price???
in Atari 2600
Posted
I paid about half that for Shuttle Orbiter by itself a while back, so I guess that's fair. It's a fun little game, if you've never played it before. Even better if you're a space program fanboy like myself. (Not like you could tell from my avatar or anything.
