Good tools. As a good idea to unify them and make a user interface. Also you can install it easily from a package so that people with little knowledge can use it without compiling.

A8PicoCart - UnoCart on a Raspberry Pi Pico

Thanks, but that ROM is already altered from before so I wouldn't call it original. 😉- 541 replies

A8PicoCart - UnoCart on a Raspberry Pi Pico
ascrnet replied to electrotrains's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Cartridge proof of concept "Universal RAM COPY" This cartridge needs the 5 vols to be turned off, but since this is not possible without adding more electronics to the design. I came up with the idea to modify it to be activated by turning off RD5 like the turbo 2000. 😁 Now I need your help for testing @w1k Instructions for use: Have the firmware updated with the latest version delivered in this thread by me. disable basic (hold down the OPTION key until the cartridge is loaded) test the copy operation. Hi @w1k You can open your cartridge and take pictures of the board to see exactly what the button does so you can emulate it in a8picocart.😄 greetings

Thanks for sharing, but they were versions I already had. 😉

A8PicoCart - UnoCart on a Raspberry Pi Pico
ascrnet replied to electrotrains's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Why don't you use the existing one that is a global variable? Or do you want to use a larger dimension? There is a limit to emulate only 128k cartridges. cartridges. 😉- 541 replies

turn OS-B carts into XL/XE carts, please...
ascrnet replied to CharlieChaplin's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I found another game, but it strikes me if it was published in the ANALOG magazine because there exists a cartridge version by Romox. Retrofire! (1983)(Romox)(US).car -
A8PicoCart - UnoCart on a Raspberry Pi Pico
ascrnet replied to electrotrains's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
There are two reasons that happened to me when I made the firmware change at runtime.😅 Reading in the wrong place in the code. Not identifying well the type of cartridge and the type of banking it uses.- 541 replies

Does anyone have this game already patched for XL? 😅 Star Trux (1982)(Os-b).car -
A8PicoCart - UnoCart on a Raspberry Pi Pico
ascrnet replied to electrotrains's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
First remember that it is a microcontroller that has RAM and storage space. Second the order at high level would be: read the stored file and load it to the RAM and from here it will be sent to the pins. Note in the RAM is not only the read but also the executed firmware.- 541 replies

A8PicoCart - UnoCart on a Raspberry Pi Pico
ascrnet replied to electrotrains's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Lack of RAM, the Raspberry Pi Pico includes 256KB of RAM. 😉 There are ways to automate it, but it would not be a simple cartridge to put together and the cost would go up.- 541 replies

ok understood, as note the first death on the screen with the spider that I indicate in the videos but if you die somewhere else on the same screen you can not repeat it. 😉

According to the documentation shared by @w1k in the turbo 6000 thread. I see two wires in the picture from the joystick port like +5 vol and gnd. Maybe it controls the pcb on and off. 😅

Atari Cartridge Documentation Project ep2

I add an article I wrote on the use of this cartridge with the information available from this forum.😁 -
Thank you, but shipping is very expensive to the other side of the world. 😅 I don't know much about electronics, but I'll follow the one posted by compatriot @manterola I checked your code and I noticed that there are a lot of NOP's. Maybe someone patched it directly into the binary. 🧐

😱 I've never seen one so small, what magazine was it published in? It only remains for me to say thank you, I didn't think you improved the charger. 🤩 Share the URL to see if they send to my country. According to my translator only 600, 800 and 4000 baud.😅
-
I also read that forum, it is clear that not just any game works, as it happens the same on other tape loading systems. Thanks for the more technical details. 😉 I can only say beautiful. 🤩 Thank you very much for sharing your work. I will check it out, I still have doubts about the placement. Another question, did the 6000 turbo cartridge have a button? I'm asking this to add support to the a8picocart 😁
-
The idea is to evaluate which of all the turbo 6000 is simpler to perform. I put that one because it looks complete and not so complicated. If you have information of a simpler one I would like to try to put it together and document it in Spanish.🤩 thanks for your help 👍 Nice work, but no technical details on how to make the adaptation from scratch. 😅
-
Hi all, The question is the adaptation for turbo 6000, did anyone run it on their cassette deck?😅 Reviewing the information does not look complicated to perform, only that some components are no longer available. Reading the ABBUC forum if it works but making a change in the design.😅 Regards

Great game my congratulations to the team, it's so good I finished it in one go. 🤩 I hope in the future there will be a smooth NTSC version. 😁
