A8PicoCart - UnoCart on a Raspberry Pi Pico
ascrnet replied to electrotrains's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I just installed debian 12 and use winehq without problems to altirra it looks great nothing to do with wine, follow the steps in the link. I already added the pio driver and the necessary changes in the same order as the old OS. it loads fine without problems in altirra but you can't test the pio that will be your task with your UnoCart.π CartOS_pio.zip I attach everything in case you need to assemble again, to assemble I ran compiler.bat "yes I did it in Windows as I am still preparing my debian 12". π€© Regards- 562 replies

A8PicoCart - UnoCart on a Raspberry Pi Pico
ascrnet replied to electrotrains's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I didn't include it, because I did something generic for both cartridges since I don't know yet if a8picocart will use that. As the github for this project is not available I just improvised.π Now that you mention it I should make another version including it for you to try it. Regards- 562 replies

Hi @E474 Do you know how to update your UnoCART cartridge? I hope so, because I already have an altirra OS 3.34 assembled and ready to add it to the firmware of this cartridge. Since I also sent it to @electrotrains to generate an update for the a8picocart and continue testing. π Regards- 562 replies

that's for sure. π As this cartridge inherits part of the UnoCart software it comes with a very old altirra os I downloaded from git the UnoCartOS source code and assembled it to see the exact version It is indeed a very beta version of AltirraOS, we will have to update it in the future to improve the ATR support π Regards- 562 replies

Hi all, New evidence since we are talking about the arcadia game. Everything points to a problem in the ATR emulation. π I took AUTORUN.SYS out of the ATR and renamed it ARCADIA.XEX to load it directly. As you can see in the picture there are no problems in the loading. But if I run it from an ATR either single density (720sec) or medium density (1040sec) it damages the screen. Regards- 562 replies

Relax, we can wait, first recover well. π it needs to be updated, as the UnoCART is a development version and is 7 years old. Lately the altirra OS has been improved a lot. Greetings- 562 replies

I have the feeling that there is a detail in the simple density since arcadia is a new game and also load damaged. π- 562 replies

I remember that yes, that was devised so that it cannot be read sequentially with any standard program. If you search for the word "TRAMPA" you will see the related code.π

Hi all, I continue with the tests for .xex executables and .atr disk image π Games loaded without problems : Binary Parasite.xex Draconus.xex Electrician.xex Spy Vs Spy II.xex (compressed) Disk images : TurboBasicXL.atr (extended density) is halfway loaded. VisiCalc.atr (simple density) loads, but the program fails. Dos 2.5.atr (extended density) ok SpartaDOS_3.2g_with_DOS.atr (simple density) does not load. SpartaDOS_3.2g_720K.atr (double density) does not load. Arcadia.atr (single density) loads, but program crashes. Games03.atr (extended density) ok. @electrotrains I'm still wondering if you set the SIO to standard speed ($28) or fast ($06)? π Greetings- 562 replies

were you finally able to get an example of that .car ? π

how annoying that it is only PAL π

I see that you never played it, even if I put the 30 levels you will not finish it because the last level has 5 levels in a row to finish it and these are more difficult than the previous 29. To not continue with the spoiler as you say, I will publish it only in my web.π
-
No one seems to be playing it anymore if it's not that hard. π I'm playing it again because I forgot to write down the names of the first levels : 00. WELCOME 01. RESTART 02. PETERLIEPA 03. RIDICULOUS ZERO 04. WORMZORG 05. CHUCKNORRIS 06. MONEX ONE 07. ARCH O NEMESIS 08. ZYBEXLAND 09. PROMISCUOUS CAT 10. DEADLY PROJECT ISLE 11. NINE ELEVEN TWO 12. SPIELER EINS LOS 13. LIQUIDSNAKE This is to put it in a cheat article π

Hyperkin Sega Genesis 6-Button Clone Controller Mod
ascrnet replied to mytek's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Joy 2B+ was made years ago and is compatible with the same logic as the Sega gamepad and can use 3 buttons with the XL/XE series and two buttons on the 2600. for more information and compatible games visit their githubπ -
π of course, my strategy was to stop seconds before the shot and then continue. this ensured that I dodged the bullet going straight at the player.
-
no problem, I just needed the exact number. if I play from the emulator as the 5 levels at the end take time because the screen is smaller, more accurate shots at you and must make more combinations with the blocks to unlock access. π Game Over !!!! π when you reach the last 5 levels you will understand. π

I got to the end, but not .... this continues.... if you found levels 0 to 29 difficult, that's nothing.π level 30 are several... π€£
