Ignore that book.. it's just 1001 st basic listings. ST BASIC is a bad implementation of BASIC. Any generic book with BASIC applications will do. The listings there use none of the st features and the same book has been written for multiple other systems with just the necessary corrections for differences in dialects and computer names.
I think it's far more interesting to try and find things you like doing, or things you do daily and see how and if they can be done on an ST.

Buy an Amiga

An ST. The game was first developed on an ST!

It's been too long since I tested it under TOS but I believe it should work. Though it will definitely be better on mint.

I think highwire might have a better chance of displaying sites. Have you tried that?

Yes, you are kind of misunderstanding something. Though the term was not originally used for what I mean, it has now become a synonym of laissez - faire capitalism and the elimination of the state's role in the economy. Basically the ideas of Hayek and Friedman, though Hayek wouldn't actually go that far.

Let me explain it to you in the proper neo-liberal economic terms you should be able to comprehend, judging by your comment on healthcare. When you commited to buying Another World you knew that it was an unfinished product. Therefore what you did, was not a purchase but an investment in the manufacturing of said product. With that you assume the financial risk that's inherent in that investment. Now since you are so much inlove with private insurance, as a good investor what you should have done was to insure your investment against any problems that might arise. The fact that you failed to do that means that you assumed all the investment risk yourself. You have noone else to blame but yourself.

Many sites have mobile versions that are usable with CAB, try m.google.com. Maybe CAB can be faked to send a different user agent and mask as a smartphone to automatically use mobile site versions?
That might be helpful for sites that have a special mobile version, assuming that that version is not more modern than the classic one, but for sites made with responsive design it will be painful.

JHL14 is started ...
For the moment no really great revolution except "shooting ability" who will be change : good players will be better and bad players will be very bad ( to stop hat trick from players like McGrattan or Rinaldo or Colton Orr )
New graphs needed ( pm me if you are interested

A friend went to a dealer the other day and said, "I'd like a bag for my Atari Jaguar." The dealer replied, "Okay. Sounds like a fair trade."

That, in no way at all, can be described as a 'benefit'.
Downfall in particular shows that very well, the level of control you have with the joystick over the jag pad is significant. I wonder if there is a joystick adapter for the jaguar..

Holy crap, did I walk into the Jaguar forum by accident?
No, no, no, it's easy to spot actually. Paranoidlittleman, releases stuff, in much less than 7 years I might add, and they don't cost $80 +S&H.

Maybe this old post could be of some help..

1. To transfer the files. Format the floppy on Atari then copy the files on the PC.
2. http://www.atari-for...hp?f=69&t=20025
3. There are some atari users in Italy. I don't know if they have a forum or something but maybe it's worth a look through google.

We had an article about this on the last issue of lowres.

There were also some excellent suggestions in the comments sections.

LOL! Automation on the Jaguar just doesn't seem right!
-
Well, with 1mb left someone could easily make a top down port of quake, or if they are really ambitious a 3d one, like the third part of Robocop 3.
-
I am not really sure it's teradesk that's causing the issue. NVDI installs also some cpx and desk accessories. Those could be the issues.
-
Wow! This game has changed quite a lot since I presented it at Outline.. with 64-bits of problems..

Well, I don't know if Apple found any ideas in ST GEM and used it in their later projects but that statement is indeed odd. After all GEM was inspired by the Macintosh.

I don't think MP2 is possible on the Jaguar DSP, but I may be wrong.
MP3 is right out, since even the Falcon's DSP is not powerful enough to decode in real time (and as GT Turbo's said, it is more powerful than the Jaguar's DSP) ; MP3 players on the Falcon use both the DSP and the 68030.
MP2 is about twice the size of an MP3. The track in the falcon demo Beams is an MP2 @ 32KHz and it sounds OK. The falcon can play a 64KBps MP3 with about 5% cpu usage but I guess that's because of resampling. It should be OK if you have a 44.1KHz clock on the DSP.

The most common setup should be either gcc as dml said or vbcc that some other people use. GCC is mostly used for OS related programming and vbcc for games and demos. The setup also consists of an emulator, either steem or hatari depending on the target machine. Most coders drink water in the name of the STEEM debugger.

There's even a hombrew/underground Quake for the Falcon and later model (32-bit) Amiga's! Of course the Jaguar could handle it.
And those are the specs for it! :
Atari port of Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, ... n/a Falcon 060, 64 MB RAM See below. Some videos from Atari [email protected] MHz ([email protected] MHz videobus): Atari Quake 1.00, Atari Duke Nukem 3D 1.00 (bad audio settings).

ST demo productions - any work w/ 512K?
in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers

One of my favourites for 512K is Virtual Escape by Equinox.
