Yeah, you are missing how hosting services work.

Yep! You could easily get 100 for atari karts alone.

I third the fumes. Minimizing your exposure to them by a. turning on the jag as seldom as possible b. having good ventilation. can improve things drastically.
Jokes aside, I like to see the jaguar community as players in an MMORPG. Some of them have invested a lot of time in accumulating jaguar stuff and in making a name for themselves. When this fails they do a Leeroy Jenkins and that's what you see.

Well I guess some people just can't 'move on in life' and pride themselves in dredging up tired old arguments that practically no-one else other than themselves are interested in going over again....BORING
Oh Carmel, Carmel, Carmel! I think that even you can see the irony in your use of the word BORING!

Nah, all you need to do is put a phrase from the article in quotes in google and you can find out very easily.

Actually homebrew should only be used for beers etc...

Schedule-em-up?
That would actually be a great idea for a smartphone (or jaguar) game. You are a dentist's clerk and you need to schedule appointments. This could sell!

And let's not forget the ethernet/usb peripherals, video grabbers etc.

Does that mean that the St emulation scene isn't as healthy as it was in years gone by, ......... .or is the PC/windblows based ST emulation scene not the biggest priorities for emulation of the ST/E/TT or falcon systems (prefering instead to concentrate on mobile platforms and emulation of the ST etc on gaming systems)
No and no

I'd say that the video cable isn't shielded very well.
-
No, msa disks are compressed. You'll need a program called msa2st to switch between the two formats. You might also avoid all that together for games that are smaller than 720kb (most of them) and check the hd patches by d-bug and klapauzius since those will also run from floppy disk in most of the cases.
-
LOL. Do we get the scrolling part right?
-
Did you check whether the cable is firm in the motherboard?
The falcon will hang if the hard disk is plugged in the wrong way, and also you need to wait a few seconds for it to boot without a hard disk. So unplug the hard disk, boot with a floppy in the drive and see what happens.

Don't tell me it's army moves?

You could help us narrow it down. For example, was it a game that came with the ST? Something you bought as an original? Perhaps a public domain disk, a magazine disk? And which country are you from?

The only game I know that is similar to what you describe is carvup.. But the car is red. It does have cartoony graphics fruits and driving on roofs. I am sorry but I can't think of a platformer with a car...

Seems to me like moon patrol.

I really wonder what beyond, old, slow, huge, small, noisy can one write about the megafile...

Another idea, which i don't know if it's feasible.. smaller icons for stlow..
(soon enough you'll be writing your own desktop if I have my suggestion way)
-
Why not adding background images while you are at it?
-
Getting online isn't even on my list, when it comes to Atari computersJust because you can do a thing, even in some horrible capacity, doesn't mean you should...

Why not? Especially if you have fun doing it

Yeah, I am pretty sure there is fortran 77 for the atari. Not sure where you can find it though.. Most people will use either C or asm, but others such as myself use GFA BASIC. Depending on what you want to do each has its own advantages.

IIRC this has some GEM menus. How do you plan to implement them?
