  1. It's basic economics really, if there are two products in a market and the proppa one is offered for sale while the higher quality one is offered for free, the proppa maker will feel ripped off because they are losing money on potential sales. Though now that I think of it, it has more to do with the derivatives market since all there is for sale is proppa hype.
  2. Get them at the reboot website. http://reboot.atari.org
  3. You know, you really only need to set it up once. Have you ever used an ST?
  4. Steem and Saint clunky? That's a new one! I am really interested, what did you find clunky!?
  5. Emulators read .st and .msa format. Some programs will not run with the tos version you have. Others will need to be loaded from within the emulated atari.
  6. Try gembench. Though it will show you nothing if your screen doesn't work. I guess you'd need a diagnostic cart
  7. Do you want a benchmarking software?

So more games? Truth is I am running out but I'll see what I can do

    Falcon youtube.

As some of you know (the faithful readers at least) I've been posting a few falcon and ST vids on youtube. I am at a point in time that I have very few ideas on what to post, so I am looking for your recommendations. What falcon video would you like to see?
  10. It will be interesting to see if it has as much FMV and stuff as the 3do version or less. There are two versions of the game, a floppy disk one and a cd-rom one. The CD-ROM has a lot more of cutscenes, FMV's etc. So here's a teaser from my CT63 equipped falcon. CD-ROM version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WE_YVEaxBTY
  11. Eclipse!!! Please share more of the found stuff!

    Mystery

It's 4 HD disks on the falcon so it should just about fit on a cart..
  13. Something like the A8 diablo? Could be done but you'll get the usual 64-bit powa thingy plus it would be a complete downgrade since my 7 y.o. pc emulates the Jaguar and PSX effortlessly while it won't even touch oblivion. What you can do is be inspired by a game theme (story games are good for this) and build your own game (like the a8 diablo), but why not make fun original games if you are going that way? In sort, updating older games works, the reverse doesn't or at least most of the times.
  14. 3.6TT does work on the falcon. You just need to start it from either a TT or an ST compatible resolution. GBE will work as well.

    Top 31 Homebrew

SFDX is indeed much more complete but I won't complain either
  16. There you go: http://tldp.org/LDP/LGNET/issue70/arndt.html
  17. Still, it's very sad when certain individuals have to resort to identity theft in order to belittle other people's efforts. Anyway, Downfall made it to the list and actions speak far louder than words. So I'll patiently wait for 5 more years (2 have already passed) so as to see some actions.
  18. Yeah, all of them. I really like qed and 7up, 7up being much lighter on system resources. http://home.ewr-online.de/~gstoll/
  19. And it's from an lcd, no crt refresh rate artifacts.. bah.
  20. Coding vs Freespace Source Code Project is a hard choice!

  21. Well, this isn't the first time that I've been involved in the development of software and especially games but this is one of my favourites. First of all it took only 12 days to make and it was great fun while it lasted. The coders had the main engine up and running in just a few hours and then it was all testing, adding assets, more testing and design. Secondly it was all the laughs we had while discussing the game and how we should progress and lastly the end result that worked surprisingly well. So what's next for the jaguar? I think that this game proves that simpler ideas are well worth doing on the platform. It's -contrary to popular belief- easy to work with and the hardware allows for complex stuff to be done on the fly. Downfall would have been much harder to do on the STE and even more so on the ST and yet it's all 68K code. 68K and OP that is
  22. I'd really like to watch you live vs xerus in a game.. Great score!
  23. Why dont somebody crack the shit and get into "namless" carts and sell them for a normal price as like checkerd flag prices.. I would buy such cart whats the point with rare games that is hard to get? for me rare is meant by two points.. publishing trouble (which is very sad if the titles actually was good). or... they were so crap nobody bought them when they were able to get bought.. or 3rd.. to expensive from the beginning and not as good worth the money. So in all cases my vote is, that it is ok to make copys of these into nameless carts in workin condition. as these days, make able to survive in time for nostalgic users. I do respect the resellers. So the reselling titles could be skipped out in this post. *hint hint*. (for those who dont understand my point, reselling titles is not RARE titles. ). // Marcer And speaking of space shooter cracks... whatever happened to that crown of creation one? And you are definitely new here The story of Battlesphere is one of hype. It was a limited run on a system with very limited user base so it became rare. ST sceners that played it thought very little of the game but some of the jaguar community disagree. It might actually be a decent game or a case of the one eyed leading the blind, I can't really say but I do have more trust on st sceners and gamers.
