The Great Atari ST Game Survey - Best title screens

What exactly do you mean? Intros or loading pictures? -
Feel free to use one of your 10 accounts on the D-Bug forum to post a bug report. But after all the tests epic and f1 got through it would seem it's your mste that works not.

I think it's the same song on all versions. (The best one IMHO).

Yep your english will always betray you . Seriously, next time use babelfish.

MagicMac is useful if you want to run Calamus and such in the high speed. But my question is elsewhere: what made you think that an atari day wouldn't be odd?
-
Fletch, indeed you are right. The sensi vs kick off battle is even worse than the ST vs Amiga one (and quite similar too). BTW, in Goal! you can select to have a more sensible soccer like view. Technically speaking the best football game on the atari (STE/Falcon) is Team. Unfortunately the AI (especially the one of your teammates) is horrendous so it becomes an absolute failure. It's a pity because when it comes to graphics, sound and technical merits, it's excellent.

Sensi lovers... paaah

Kick off II rules all over Sensible soccer. And the best football game I ever played is Goal!. Unfortunately it's very buggy....

I won't argue on the 16-bitness of the falcon, it will be like the 64-bitness of the jaguar all over again. However FPGA ST's have been made to some extend: http://www.experiment-s.de/en/

Cross posting from atari forum.. Hi, I understand it's 2008, I understand that the ST/TT/Falcon line is as obsolete as it can be, I understand that noone in his right mind would want to use the ST as a full computer. But still, I find that doing some everyday tasks on my Ataris makes those tasks more fun. I also find that some people would like to do some stuff on their ataris but the process of finding the applications, installing them and working with them is tedious to say the least. So I thought of making a type of "Distro" with preconfigured applications. Mainly a big zip file that you can unzip on you c: and have a fully working computer the next minute (or a couple of hours for the unzipping ). This wip has now reached to a stalled level. I don't really know what other applications to add.. So I have a few questions: 1. Would you install it? 2. Would such a thing help you use your atari more? 3. I'd prefer to use freeware, pd or opensource apps. Any suggestions? So, help me design a distro.

Two days ago, I did not know anything about the ST
Christos replied to Rockin' Kat's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
For the VGA cable try contacting Techie Alison (I believe she is a member here). @Rockin Kat, I guess that if you keep an open mind you'll love the ST. It's a bit hard at start but after that... A good place to start is the atari st quick faq though a bit outdated (especially the links) is a good source. http://www.atari.org/hosted/quickfaq/ -
I guess that smoking doesn't help on the phlegm thing but the ehm doesn't mean something like that

Hmmm, interesting, I'm a bit perplexed by this Q/A on your site however: does this mean there is no easy way to transfer files back and forth between PC/MAC and the ST? Seems counter productive. What format does the SD card need to be formatted in and how is this accomplished? all SD and MMC cards I know currently on the market are formatted FAT16 or FAT32. There must be a way to have some sort of easy reader/writer software that we can use to transfer files to and from the card... I would hope. Otherwise it would be rather pointless wouldn't it? Ehhhmmm... it's not my site or h/w nor do I have it. I am using a serial link to transfer files.

Ehm.. since there seem to be some misconceptions: http://joo.kie.sk/ Go to atari then satandisk.

The absolute worst game(s) you played/bought for the A8
Christos replied to carmel_andrews's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
A game called Grand Prix.. Top down view, one strange track.. didn't know what you were supposed to do... -
Probably a megafile, it's a hard drive unit that has an RLL or MFM drive inside. ACSI the"standard" used by atari is a subset of scsi and I've seen a diy project for an adaptor.
-
Mark, that's the MegaSTE and not the MegaST as majinbuu has. http://www.old-computers.com/museum/comput...?c=165&st=1
-
Unless we are talking about a scsi adapter thing such as icd link or similar then scsi disks cannot be used.
-
Actually no, they came the same year. Anyway, the megaST is an ST with blitter which was not used by anything other than the OS at that time. On the OP questions, a search in this forum will reveal various game lists. And the Amiga is a better game machine than the ST, just not that much better as the amiga users would like you to believe.
