I dwelved a bit in ebay and found this jaguar development system which I think that should be of interest. Obviously I can't afford it so that's why I point it out .
-
Hi, Sorry not yet... on my to do list though . I am getting a break after next Tuesday so I'll get more time. But like anything in the atari world things get delayed. Sry about that Indeed the TT is faster for most productivity stuff. Some aren't though (especially when you need more colours).

You should also try zero 5 on your STE. You'll like it

Can't change resolution on my Mega STe
Christos replied to Gunstar's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Any accessories running? -
I think I need to update my falcon's specs here too. It got a 40Gb HD and it's now not noisy.

What is the best 16-bit computer?

I think there was a 100% native speed emulator of that machine for the ST. -
Mega ST 2 composite out for TV?
Christos replied to solidus8's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
No modulator = no composite I am afraid. I don't know if you can use some kind of RGB to component converter. If you want to use a vga screen you can but only for the ST mono resolution. Not useful for games. -
Mega ST 2 composite out for TV?
Christos replied to solidus8's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Questions: Where do you live (PAL or NTSC)? Does the mega ST have a TV modulator (can't remember)? If not then the composite signal is not present in the monitor port and you need to use RGB. I suspect your TV doesn't have composite input because if it did then it should be preferred. -
I think that the Space Invader game might be a hack of afterburner. And I am sure I had the other game on a NES clone called Game City that looked like a smaller SNES but I can't remember the name.
-
Well, one can always be better . I have found the manual of XBOOT, I'll try to scan it tomorrow.
-
So that you can play two tunes simultaneously. gwEm and his software rule! Maxymiser is the tracker of choice for many ST musicians.
-
@Pastor I think I can help you with the manual for the XBOOT 3. However the program is pretty much self explanatory.
-
Well obviously the name is inspired by the champion's league . You can read more info here and here. The difference between the league and an HSC type contest like STOT, is that the players compete one on one and points are awarded by victory or defeat. Of course that's the general idea and it will need fine tuning.
-
I will agree with goochman on what he said. In my experience you don't need 10 people to start but 4-5 regulars. In the STOT we have 4 players that participated in every contest so far, and a few more that participated in more than the half contests while we had 20 players overall. Falcon's league, our new pet project, has attracted 10 people so far who said they will participate. This is very exciting since the league will be a closed contest where people commit into playing it through. I see two problems with the jaguar HSC. The lack of a decent emulator and the lack of many good games. The first makes it difficult for people to participate and the second limits the number of choices. So my 2 eurocents: Listen to the people and make wise poll selections and everything will go as planned. Best of luck with the jaguar HSC.

Today I received a jagpad from http://www.atari-shop.nl/. The pad arrived very well packaged and it's in perfect working order. Many thanks to Sandra for the excellent communication as well. Now on the jagpad. It's not the worse controller I've ever seen but it's definitely not the best. I'll place it in the average. But it gave me the chance to play painium disaster for the first time and I can tell you it's a really good shooter but hard. Also played zero 5 with it. Great improvement over mouse gameplay as well. What does it all mean? Falcon's league is one step closer .

DrClu, yeah, quite a lot of them http://www.atari-forum.com/viewforum.php?f=53 We are also getting ready to start a falcon tournament as well. Stay tuned!

Creating st-tt floppies from disk images on linux
Christos replied to Megamania's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
He he, yeah, I find it the best and most reliable solution to use an atari program. And if I'm right, I've heard that with linux you can compile the kernel in a way that it will read atari hd partitions. That makes file transfer extremely easy. -

1. To change the language of the falcon you need to select the appropriate in the NVRAM settings. An NVRAM utility is needed and can be found easily. TOS is in the ROM of the system. In that respect to do the same thing on the MegaSTE and the TT you will need to burn the IMG files into an EPROM. I have no more information on this. However if all you need to change is the desktop you can use a replacement one such as Teradesk. 2. All your machines have hard disk capability so in my view the best and most reliable option is to use an Atari utility such as JayMSA. 3. As the Atari and the PC share the same format, for applications you do not generally need to bother with disk images. For games things are a bit different but thanks to the work done mainly by D-Bug many games have been patched so that they can work from hard disk. -
1. You need to install a hd driver. Try ahdi from the official disks as starters. The fact that you are experiencing floppy problems with the hd connected is an indication of Hard disk failure. It may be that you'll need a new hd. Any IDE 2.5" drive would do. (Which reminds me it's time to update my sig). 2. Same thing as before. The driver is the same for all 16/32 atari computers. The TT needs scsi drives. The mouse plugs in the TT kbd. What MB connector are you referring to? 3. You can connect the megafile to the TT but not the falcon. To be visible on the desktop it needs to have a hd driver installed. 4. Floppy disk format is the same between IBM PC and Atari ST. Thus you can use that to transfer files. Welcome to the 16/32

Nice! How fast did you get it to go through the serial port? Have you tried beams yet?
