Is there anyone that can report that it works there before I purchase? I'd love to use it on the 2600 games and pac-man arcade games at gametap.com Thanks for any information. NIN

This JAMMA joystick is on my wishlist for my 5200. I suppose with the Redemtion device this Sega version would work fine. There's also a 2600 version available. Lefty and righty67 versions too. http://www.goatstore.com/info.php?id=811314 If anyone has been followring DoctorKamino doing his month of 2600 on youtube, this is the joystick he uses and shows on occasion.

Just want to warn anyone planning on playing pitfall at gametap.com that the leaderboard does not acknowledge a perfect game! The best you can get on the leaderboard is 110,000 one gold piece short. Apparently it doesn't acknowledge the true ending of the game as a "game over" as if you say run out of time or lose your lives. Grrrrrr. Regards, NIN_Halo5

I just ordered the Redemption 5200 - 2600 / Sega Edition from this site. Pretty excited about this. Funny enough, bundled with this 5200 unit was a pair of 2600 paddles. Player one paddle is jittery ( I tested them on Super Breakout and Warlords on Flashback 2) but player two is smooth as silk although both are pretty dirty. Hope I can use these for Super Breakout on the 5200 with the Redemtion after I clean them up. Oddly, on Warlords both paddles are pretty smooth, but the jitter is on Super Breakout. I cleaned up the console for the most part. Think I just need an air blower to get in the grill slots. Pretty grimy in there. I'll have to do some research on cleaning up the joystick.

FB2 disappeared from Atari.com

Wow. I just got one from atari.com like 3 weeks ago. -
The alcohol and Q-tip worked! Game looks terrific. The original controller works surprisingly well for this game. It's lefty friendly with the action button as well! Thank you very much Christophero Sly. Thanks also to all that replied. Lord Helmet, that adapter may be what the doctor ordered. It's a tad bit pricey, but I'd be thrilled to even use my brand new 2600 controllers on this 5200. I had ordered a Flashback 2 from Atari.com a few weeks ago. Maybe I will wait until the holiday crunch is over and order one of those. Then again, maybe I'll order it right now.... I'm thrilled to be in the 5200 club now and to be part of this community. I'm 38 years old, so I grew up in the 2600 heyday. Now I have to clean this baby up...like I said it's very dirty. It was sitting in someones filthy garage for about a decade. I'm amazed that the controller even worked at all. I think a good cleaning will improve it's performance even more. NIN_Halo5 ''

I got a two port 5200 with one working controller and 4 carts for 20 bucks on E-Bay. It arrived filthy and without an RF-Coaxial adapter which I just purchased, but it seems to work fine. Carts are Defender, Super Breakout, Pac-Man, and Centipede. Reason I got this was to Play Pitfall 2's second level. I tracked down that cart also on E-Bay. Did a "buy now" for 13 bucks. The cart is not working. I either get a blank screen or a scrambled "Atari" screen on pwer up. I did see the game beginning screen for the game on one try but the colors didn't look quite right. Kind of looked like how it does on my emulator. Too dark on the bottom of the platforms! I did all this to get a working copy of PF II and it looks like I'm still out of luck. On further inspection the controller fre button isn't too great. Have to push it very hard. It's also awkward for me as I am a lefty and the fire button seems to be on the lower right. I'd prefer to use my thumb on the left side Any ideas on the Pitfall 2 cartridge and finding a 3rd party controller? I read on the site somewhere that some 2 port models don't play Pitfall? Does that apply to the sequel as well? Thanks Halo5

Hi. This is my first post. I googled this subject because I could not get any sound on z26 on XP. I wrangled with it for a day or two then saw this message and it worked perfectly! I simply reduced all the mixer settings on my sound card to 70% and now all is well. Thanks, and I hope this helps someone in a similar predicament. NIN_Halo5
