...all four Absolute titles (Pete Rose Baseball, Skate Boardin', TitleMatch Pro Wrestling, Tomcat F-14 Flight Simulator) with manuals, + TNT BMX AirMaster with manual. All mint. Here is a collection of 6 Atari 2600 video game cartridges comprising 261 different game programs. Many of the games in this collection are common, but there are some titles which are quite rare. This is a great opportunity to play some of those games which are difficult if not impossible to find loose. Complete list follows: All 4 titles from Absolute Entertainment, including manuals (all NTSC) - Pete Rose Baseball Skate Boardin' TitleMatch Pro Wrestling Tomcat F-14 Flight Simulator ...the only title released by TNT Games, with manual (NTSC) - BMX AirMaster ...and the 256-game MultiCart first sold at the 2001 Philly Classic Game Expo, which includes the following titles - Adventure Air Raid Air Raiders Airlock Alien Alligator People Amidar Assault Astroblast Astrowar Atlantis Bachelor Party Bachelorette Party Bank Heist Barnstorming Beany Bopper Beat 'em and Eat 'em Bermuda Bermuda Triangle Bi! Bi! Bobby is Going Home Boing! Boom! Bang! EVERY selection has been tested and works perfectly. Please note that the majority of titles in this list are NTSC but there are a few PAL titles which may make the picture roll on NTSC televisions. I am the original owner of all these cartridges; they were purchased either at retail or direct from the publisher and have never been "in the wild". Manuals and cartridge labels are in pristine condition and all the games work fine. Anyone interested in making an offer, please send me a PM by no later than 11pm Eastern (8pm Pacific) Sunday, January 29th. And please feel free to ask questions if more info is needed before making an offer.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the advice.

Next item to sell from my collection: GLIB for the 2600, complete with manual, box and insert. Cart is pristine and works perfectly. The manual is an 8-page fold-out, also pristine. THE BOX IS PRISTINE, as is the insert which holds the cartridge in place (see photos). I am the original owner of this item. It was purchased at retail in December of 1986 and has been in my possession since, so you can be sure it is well-preserved. If anyone is interested in making an offer, please send me a PM before 11pm Eastern on Friday night (April 22nd) and I'll reply with more photos.

Why do some people want to collect every Atari 2600 game?
bfstats replied to Random Terrain's topic in Atari 2600
Here's one to add to the list: "The Collector Mentality" Once I decided on a system, buying EVERY game I encountered for that system was, umm.... only natural. If it were strictly as an investment, I would have bought 2 or more of every game, but who could afford more than one $40 Pac-Man back then?! I'll be the first to admit that collecting is a disease. Once bitten by that bug, it is difficult to find a cure. Definitely not rational, but finding ways to acquire what I don't have at reasonable prices is a fun challenge. And yes, sometimes (often, well... most of the time, er... okay, ALL THE TIME) it is more satisfying to ACQUIRE a game than it is to play it. THAT'S the Collector Mentality. -

Yes, they are grouped by company. Activision is the entire top row (45 titles) and Atari covers almost the entire space to the left of the door. The rest are in single rows or 2-row blocks.

The boxes are individually shrink-wrapped and then wedged top-to-bottom between rows of 3/4" clear acrylic L-shaped molding. Only the molding is fastened to the wall. Any box can be removed and replaced without disturbing the surrounding boxes. Nothing at all to be apalled at.

All 7 CBS Electronics titles released for the 2600 in the US as a single lot - Blueprint, Gorf, Mountain King, Omega Race, Solar Fox, Tunnel Runner, and Wizard of Wor. Included will be the carts, manuals, Booster Grip controller for Omega Race, and color-laser copies of promotional materials, magazine articles, and a newsletter relevant to CBS' releases, some of which never saw the light of day. I am the original owner of the entire set which was acquired at retail between December of '83 and May of '84. Every piece is, shall we say, well-preserved (see photo). Auction ends Sunday evening. Please have a look. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

Next item to sell from my collection: Malagai for the 2600. Cart is pristine (see photo) and works perfectly. The manual is creased in two directions but it was sent to me that way by Answer Software folded in an envelope with one of three letters, color laser copies of which are included. The original manual was glued to the front of the plain black box, which has already been sold. Sorry. The letters discuss the Personal Game Programmer, their other titles, Gauntlet and Confrontation, and their relationship with Romox. I am the original owner of this item. It was purchased in August of 1984 directly from Answer Software and has been in my possession since. A copy of the original receipt will be included to add to its authenticity. I plan to list this on eBay this Sunday. If anyone is interested in making an offer before it is listed, please send me a PM and I'll reply with more details and photos.

Anyone have problems running CBS games on the CuttleCart2? The F8's (Blueprint and Solar Fox) work fine, but the 4K's (Gorf, Wizard of Wor) and the FA's (Mountain King, Omega Race, Tunnel Runner) generate a "FPGA config error". Please post any ideas on how to resolve this.

Sold! Thanks to all of you who expressed interest. Please watch this forum for more items for sale from my collection in the near future.

Sorry to take so long to reply to these posts. Sometimes the vocation can get in the way of the avocation. First a word of humble thanks to CPUWIZ and Cassidy Nolen. Their vote of confidence means a lot to me, especially coming from two major contributors to the classic gaming community. I admire their work, and their class. Yes, this particular MagiCard says 1982 on it, I guess because that's when the first run of MagiCards was produced. Program copyright is actually 1981. I acquired this one directly from CommaVid in May of 1984, during that company's surprising re-release of the product, along with their mail-order-only offer of Video Life. Purchase price of the 1982 version was $48.88; the 1984 version cost me $58.88. It will probably pain all of you to know that the purchase price of Video Life was... $34.95. No, I no longer have it, but I did acquire Cakewalk and Stronghold at the same time. They'll show up in future posts here. Officially, I'm not "asking" for a particular price, just fielding offers. As with anything, those who are interested should offer no more than they are comfortable owning it for. Again, if you are interested, please send me a PM by no later than Sunday evening (the 13th) and I'll reply with photos and a detailed description of everything included. Yes, a homemade but very professional ORIGINAL box is included, oversized to fit the cart and manual. It is NOT a reproduction. You can't REproduce what was never produced in the first place. MagiCard originally shipped in a clear plastic bag. Looking forward...

I plan to list my 1984 CommaVid MagiCard on eBay this Sunday, complete with manual, overlays, and extras. Seems appropriate to give the AtariAge collectors a shot at it first in case someone is looking for a MagiCard to complete their collection. If you're interested, please send me a PM and I'll reply with all the details.

Here's a vote for the CuttleCart 2. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet. It's well-engineered and does what its advertised to do. Another outstanding contribution to the community by Chad Schell.
