  1. Yeah this is going to be a HUGE issue, can't wait to read the BIWN history and interview. Thanks Cobracon
  2. Ha! I never even thought about the black-on-black thing. Maybe I should switch it up with a white-background version. Then yours would be ULTRA RARE OMFG!! [email protected]@K!!! Didn't realize that was you on TNL too. Good stuff!
  3. Damn dude, long time no talk I'll definitely have to stop in one of these weekends. You guys don't happen to have a Vectrex for sale do you? I'm in the market for one... And yeah, the Batavia store is wierd - but I've scored some good stuff there. My Jag Kiosk was the best but getting Military Madness (PSX) for $15 was good too. You still have your NUON?
  4. His mini pong machine is great: http://www.computerspacefan.com/BabyPong.htm
  5. Might want to check local thrift stores too - theres usually a few console-style floor standing TV's around when I stop in the ones around here.
  6. That wouldn't have been in Cheektowaga, NY, would it? A fellow frequenter to the Super Flea? I sell at the Game Craze booth there every Saturday as of December of last year. As for the FDS we have, $150 is the price the owner paid for it and a bunch of games (bootlegs) a few years ago. Maybe it's a bit high, but you don't have to worry about shipping, we're right there if there's any problem and I'll even autograph your copy of Activision Anthology for you free of charge! Cool, I haven't been there in a few months but I can't even count how many times I've been there over the years. If I'm in there on a Saturday I'll have to stop by and say Hi. There's a Game Craze out in Batavia that I go to once in a while too. That's where I scored my Jaguar Kiosk

  8. That's crazy. Looks like a good candidate for a custom paint job
  9. Update for you guys that were having problems with Doom moving around when you weren't touching any controls. Carl has added a deadzone to the analog stick in Doom so it should't do anything when you're not using it now. Check it out at: http://www.visualcues.com/forums/showthrea...d=6497#post6497 MegaManFan, I'd be interested to hear if it solves your problem or not. It worked with my Logitech controller that was giving me trouble.
  10. I think for European orders they ship from Europe somewhere - didn't someone say theirs came from Germany?
  11. Ok I added the Stop button tip to the Games + Demos page on the Dome. Hopefully that will help some people out http://www.nuon-dome.com/demos/nuongd.html
  12. Hitting the Stop button (on the remote is what I usually do so I don't have to get up) will reset the machine without having to power it off. Looks like I should've put that in the manual somewhere, but I'd been doing it for so long during testing that I just forgot about it Some games do have a built-in exit features that work with the loader, like Decaying Orbit, Breakout, etc. But for demos and games we didn't have access to the source for, the stop button trick is the way to go. Doom is kind of touchy when it comes to the analog control. I imagine it doesn't have much of (if any) dead zone for the stick and that's why any tiny change makes it move. I've had it continually go up with my Logitech stick. Your best bet might be to use the digital-only Warrior controller for Doom if you've got access to one.
  13. Nope, the SD2300 won't read the homebrew file format unfortunately. We're stuck with it until Genesis Microchip decides to share the NUON authentication software.
  14. I see there is a Dreamcast in the "fishbowl" on the Duranik site - does this mean there's a DC project in the works from Duranik?
  15. Yep, it's the shareware version of Doom, ported from the open-source PC version. It was developed back during the early days at VM Labs as an illustration of how easy it would be to port PC games to the NUON platform - the entire game was ported over in a weekend. Some of the controls are a bit funky, but Carl Forhan of Songbird Productions has been working on that lately. He just put out an updated version that enables strafing, proper weapon switching, etc. You can check it out in this thread at NUON-Dome.
  16. There may just be more to look forward to on NUON as well. Keep your eye on http://www.nuon-dome.com/ for details.
  17. Good news for Xmas. Thanks Lars!
  18. Cafepress produces them on-demand. So order one and it will ship.
  19. Well you'd have to actually FINISH THE GAME first so people could play it.
  20. Looks like a Catbox without the metal case. Is that what it is?
