I just PMed you about the Barkley manual.

If someone is releasing a new game soon' date=' plz plz plz STOP selling 2 versions of 1 game. Plz no more "super duper special editions" thats a limited release of 10 or whatever. It's getting old and its killing my wallet.[/quote']Well you know what they say:
" Life sucks then you die"

-
Protector, Skyhammer, Soccer Kid and Hyperforce all do this. It's due to the encryption bypass used in the carts since they came out before the cart encryption was released.
-
I'd like a Club Drive with better control and a higer framerate. A network mode of play would be a lot of fun too!
-
Agreed, that's amazing news. Great work Curt and Glenn!

I'd prefer a Jag trackball for Centipede, personally...but either way I'm in

Well I know for a fact that my version won't load to a flash cart properly, so there's no need to troubleshoot. I've got the original copy on an actual cart anyways

Neat to know that there are a few variations out there, but from what you've said they sound pretty similar.
-
Must be different than mine then. Just didn't want you wasting your time if it was the version I have

-
If you're trying to load the Rayman Beta onto a flash cart, it won't work.
-
Yeah, they're more of a universal-style case. They're not specifically made for Jag games unfortunately.
IIRC they're about the same size as standard Jag boxes. Should look nice if you were to put some labels on there

-
GoAtari has some clear plastic rental cases that work pretty well. I've got my BHH proto in one and plan on getting a few more for games that didn't come in boxes like SW2K, Barkley, etc. I imagine they'll look pretty good with the manual stored inside as well....
Here's the page with the price listing:

The item you want is:
JCART-J CASE FOR RENTAL CARTS - (GAME BOX) 1.29

If you have the General Release version of Painter please read on...Go to the Password menu, use joypad to select SLAMRACE and the Slam Racer intro screen will load, there's not much you can do in here, but it looks nice! Press B when you're bored with the intro and the game will load. The game starts as soon as it loads, so get ready.
This is pretty much the version that was submitted to Atari in late '95 and they liked what we had done at this point but sadly they were not going to take on any more projects and this is pretty much where we stopped working on the game. It's playable as is, but I wanted to add so much more to it. So, for your viewing pleasure, here is the Slam Racer beta.
Awesome! No more having to load it up through BJL to give it a spin. Glad I ended up getting both versions of Painter

Well at least the label was nice on the ICD release, I hear the B&C label isn't so hot.
Does anyone have the B&C version that can post a scan? And does the B&C version come with a manual?
-
As the originator of the Bypass Cart concept, I think I should have some say in the matter.
Your cart may have been the first to market, but there were solutions around long before that.
Give it a rest already.

We went through this a few months back:

I still prefer to pay a little more to have a professional-looking package over a generic CD in a sleeve.
-
I will also chime in and say that I've had nothing but good experiences with Curt. He's always been friendly to deal with and always has awesome stuff for sale

-
I've found that, um, licking the cart contacts often works.
thats one for the bookHey, it tastes great, and is less filling!

-
Meh, not like I have the money for new cart games now anyway.Well it's a CD so you don't have to worry about it

-
I suppose it's a bit early to ask for impressions from those who picked it up at [email protected], eh?

-

I found a site with jaguar roms and was just wondering.look up sega-saturn.com for reviews and pics then go to JaguDome or AtariTimes and look up some reviews of jag games and see what interests you!*wait, do they have jag reviews up online here?
