Would be interesting to know if he only bought it for curiosity or if he already knew what it was.

A Dutch guy with the ebay-nick "thwocker" (who apparently read this thread) just bought this strange cartridge. Let's hope that he reports back here with some screenshots or a conclusion on what "Patrol" really is. http://tinyurl.com/yhd5xw

You are a mean person. The proposed order is the following: 1) You identify (rarity: 10) 2) I buy the cartridge 3) I send you the link Agreed?
-
Nope, found it on ebay. Just got a reply, the game is supposedly called "Patrol". Now I just wonder which kind of "Patrol" (Moon, Planet, UFO, whatever) this is... The catridge looks rather uncommon, never seen such a scan before.

Can someone identify this euro-cartridge? Any ideas on its rarity? Thanks!

Difficult to answer since the "Reichsmark" was the official German currency only until June 20, 1948. The exchange rate of US Dollar to "DM" (Deutsche Mark) in 1983 war around 1:2.5.

I always thought the NTSC-version was only available as a prototype, until I found this site. "Region: US Release Type: Initial release Region Name: USA NTSC" Only a mistake Would be strange, since the shop is UK-based and mainly stocks PAL-versions.

Great, it's working again! No idea how I did it, I just cleaned the strip a bit and put everything back together. Bingo! I'm off for a game of Moon Patrol and Mario Bros. :-) I only hope that it stays like this for now.
-
Ok, finally succeeded and managed to remove the strip without destroying it. There was a lot of gel fluid on it and some foam rubber above the buttons, but no dirt. What am I supposed to do now?

Thanks for your reply. This is how it looks like: I carefully tried to pull the sensing strip from the left, but it doesn't move at all. How is the select function "triggered" anyway? Are there any metal contacts at the underside of the button that shorten the traces on the sensing strip? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello, I've got an VCS 2600 jr. with a stuck select button. In all games that support the select function, it constantly loops through the options and I am unable to play (e.g. Mario Brothers). I already opened the VCS: The button does not seem to be uncommonly depressed, but maybe it somehow makes contact with the underlying foil. If this is a known problem, how can I fix it?
