  1. There is a THe400 subforum under the 8bit forum, might be best to look/ask there but are the images sorted into folders? there is a 255 (or 256) file limit
  2. yes, that is what I do. You can also output the video at the same time and have two screens. Pointless, but you can
  3. I believe it's been cracked now so you can play other systems, but I have not gone down that road For games, check out atarimania and look for some excellent links in the stickied noobs post in the main Atari 8bit forum
  4. 1.Currently you can't, it's not supported in the current firmware. 2.No
  5. Returned my 400 mini, I'm not paying £100 for something that is this poor. Atari were all over replies to issues with the 2600+ but until now total silence on the 400 mini issues. Really not good enough
  6. Probably cheaper to DIY now as parts are more available. I've got a pretty minimal set up that runs everything I want. De10 nano, buy from the manufacturer to avoid being gouged or mouser/digikey/farnell. Then you are probably going to want some ram. I have the 32mb which is enough for most cores. And then you can add a usb break out, but a usb hub will be fine if you want to save money. A power supply as the included one isn't great. I use the stock hdmi output. A usb storage device of some sort depending on your budget, I've got a 128gb usb stick which is ample for my needs. Usb WiFi dongle if you want it WiFi, or just use the built in lan port. A keyboard/mouse and game pad and you're pretty much done
  7. I always use JLC PCB https://jlcpcb.com/?from=VGS&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-MaOo-qrhQMVbZRQBh35KwYREAAYASAAEgI2fPD_BwE
  8. Ah, thanks. I did watch that but was supposed to be working so not paying full attention That's good news
  9. I thought the ROM was available? Anyway I have the cart if I ever feel the need
  10. yeah, seems a bit random as to when you get delivery, a friend of mine that lives about 15 miles from me ordered before me, but his delivery is still Saturday
  11. no bluetooth, you would have to use the controller wired
  12. One question to the lucky people that have received theirs, can the CX stick be plugged in to any port and still be used to access the menu etc? I would like to plug in my Syzygy USB CX-40 into port one which is only 1 button Also, anyone tried Robotron:2048? can you use two sticks? Thanks
  13. Got to love Amazon, I ordered it from Amazon UK on the day it was announced and my delivery moved out to Saturday 30th , and then back to tomorrow (Friday 29th) Absolutely no benefit to ordering early it seems 🙄
  14. you could add the games to a USB stick anyway, so other than not being shown in the carousel it's not a biggy IMO
  15. Mines changed to a Friday delivery now 😁
  16. I thought retroarch was just a front end. I believe the underlying emulator is Atari800 which has the rewind function. The full blown version also supports stereo pokey and 320k, Rambo, compyshop etc ram upgrades, so it's odd if these have been removed
  17. After watching several of the reviews and the excellent after show Q+A from Gen X Grownup I'd like to see the following updates. 1- more RAM 2-Stereo Pokey 3-Ability to swap from NTSC to PAL without doing a factory reset 4-VBXE I'm sure there will be lots more when I actually get my hands on one, but really looking forward to having a play
  18. Preppie! Will be first up for me. First game I played Xmas 1982 when we got our first 400
  19. It's a possibility, but you are adding another layer of processing, and it's the old adage of crap in , crap out.
  20. I don't think I've seen RF any better than that tbh, personally I'd just jump in and get an sccc . Send me a DM and we can try and sort out a meet up
  21. I'm sure some of the Yootoobers that got them for free will have them on ebay before the end of the month
  22. Yes, that's the press kit
  23. Thanks @Beeblebrox I'd definitely buy a couple if they became available again
