I am looking to take the plunge into collecting (have never ever forgiven my mum for giving away my original, six switch, first generation woody some 20-odd years ago) and am obviously starting off by doing the ebay thing, but have no idea of what is a good going rate for items.
There doesn't seem to be many six-switchers out there (which is what I really want) and I am tempted to go ahead and purchase a Darth Vader or (shudder) one of the plasticky later models with the crap joystick (don't know what the "name" of these ones is, but I'm sure you know what I mean - there's a "buy it now" one of these for about 30 quid which I am very tempted to just grab anyway).
The question is, how much should I be paying for these? I mean, obviously I realise that there are such things as boot sales where you might be able to nab something off of someone who doesn't know the going rate, but how much should I be looking to pay for these on ebay? Bearing in mind that I'm not THAT bothered about getting a great deal as such - just don't want to be fleeced.

Have done a bit of searching on here (although searching for "UK" is a no-no because it's too short
) and around t'interweb in general, and I can't for the life of me find anyone who sells the FB2 in the UK. There's a few people who sell the original, non-VCS based Flashback (including Atari's UK website) but no sign of the FB2. Can anyone point me in the right direction? -
Am I the only one who prefers VCS Berzerk to the arcade version?
The arcade version is way more tactical in that you have to hide behind walls and lure robots in order to win. The VCS version is faster-paced and more action orientated. The fact that the robots can't shoot diagonally but you can is a good thing, which adds to the action - if you're fast enough, you can quickly wipe out most robots on a screen using diagonal fire before they can get a shot off. I play game 9 on the VCS (no extra lives, no shootable Otto) and while it plays differently to the arcade, I think it's a more playable and enjoyable take on the game.
(And don't get me started on the arcade version of Space Invaders. What a pile of arse that is compared to the VCS!)

Even for a woody?
£20 seems a little low based on the ebay activity I've been watching...?
