i just picked up an atari for $20. the entire set was a VCS-CX2600A, 2 joysticks, one set of those tennis/pong paddles, 6 games and it was all in an atari 'briefcase'. the breifcas is black with no stamp of manufaturer or date or any info. it says 'ATARI and the atari symbol in red on the front. i have bounced through the net searching for some details as to why made it and where and such. if anyone has any info on this mysterious case...reply and clue me in.

that site is great....i put it on my favorites to show my brother-in-law later...he saw it today...he tripped. he's what you call a nintendo-phile, a nintendo fan-boy. don't get me wrong...i dig nintendo, i got a bunch of stuff nintendo in the way of games and consoles. he had his n64 right up till the very last day and would argue with anyone who would respond that n64 was the better system in the face of sega dreamcast and sony ps2. he deleted the site from my favorites on my computer and said "i'm gonna hpunch you in yer head"...hahaha cheers shorty

i think i want a 'darth vader vcs' and i have been all over ebay and i am not sure i agree with the asking price for some of the items i looked at is 'fair'. like one article i was looking at on ebay..."black atari 2600,1 joystick, 2 pad, no power cord...$50.00" no mention of rf switch, or whether it even works...any feedback on what maybe i should be expecting to pay??? cheers... shorty
