    I played Root Beer Tapper on Colecovision today.

     

    Geez! This level lags because the background animates.

    It would be wiser to not animate the background and the gameplay won't suffer.

      Too choppy and frame-skippy for my tastes.  Otherwise well done game apart from the musical interludes (when you collect a tip) taking too long.
