  1. When I got my Atari 5200 many years ago (in 2008), I encountered the same issue you're currently having. I didn't know if the problem was the power supply or something internally. I ended up purchasing a new 5200 power supply from Myatari and thankfully everything worked fine. Never had an issue with it since. So in my case, the power supply was the problem and it just needed a new one.

NICE. Have you seen the limited edition Orta Xbox system? I've always wanted one. Damned near impossible to find.... never seen one in person.

Not the biggest original Xbox fan, to be honest. I only like a couple games for the thing. But I'd really be more than proud to have that system sitting on my shelf. One day...

Thanks! I remember seeing images of that special edition Panzer Dragoon Xbox many years ago on some website. It looks so cool! I think it was only available in Japan though (darn). I must say, the original Xbox got some neat-looking special edition console versions (Mountain Dew, Halo, Panzer Dragoon, etc.).

I'm a big fan of the original Xbox (can't call it Xbox one anymore lol). It was the first console I ever bought for myself, so it has a bit of sentimental value. The reason why I purchased one was for Panzer Dragoon Orta alone (and it was worth it). All other games I own for that machine are bonus lol.

And to stay on topic, since I've finished Panzer Dragoon (for the millionth time) I've switched to playing Oddworld: Munch's Odyssey.

  3. I finally got my Atari 7800 a few days ago, on Monday. I've been wanting one since 2007, so I'm very happy I was finally able to acquire one. Just waiting for a game I ordered on Ebay to come in and I'll be ready to go (I've been playing 2600 games on it this whole time).

  4. Nothing wrong with a necropost every so often. I remember seeing something about that Commodore computer a number of years ago. Is it still being sold?

Are you referring to Commodore USA's C64x? There is an Italian company called Amibyte that may still have some left when they bought CUSA's stock last year. CUSA went under sometime last year and have stopped making them.

Yep. Bear in mind you're likely dealing with the most pathetic of nerds who's entire existence revolves around protectiing their opinions on Wikipedia.

Ain't that the truth. Last year I edited several history-related articles (and gave good references), correcting some false information regarding the "Byzantine" Empire. Sadly, the people with seniority wouldn't know a primary source if it bit them in the ass (instead they go by what biased historians wrote many centuries later) and undid my corrections and gave me a warning. No piece of reference in the world will sway their brainwashed little minds. Hell, even if I were to invent a time machine and take them to that time period, they still wouldn't believe it.
