Activision to take advantage of recession.

Wait, I thought EA Games picked up Brutal Legend. -
ColecoVision - Smooth Criminal (Music Experiment)
Lynxer2007 replied to newcoleco's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Dude, that's awesome. Smooth Criminal is my favorite MJ song -
Unfortunately, that's not the case. A lot of Telegames USA boxes contain PAL games. In short: Telegames is a complete format mess. I still hope to complete the final Telegames format list some day. Agree. Why have PAL games in a Telegames USA box? makes no sense. To it make more confusing, you can't tell whats NTSC or PAL. That really pisses me off. I hate asking sellers what format their 2600 Telegames games are
-
Does that matter? There are a lot of PAL games that say Telegames USA (on the boxes) The seller took that info from that Digital Press website.

Awww, why's it doing that?! 1/3 screen darker than the rest

I have the same problem with my GameGear. If anyone has a solution to fix this, I'm listening. -
unplayed games still sitting on shelf?
Lynxer2007 replied to S1500's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I still have Kingdom Hearts 1 and Zack & Wiki sitting on the shelf. Currently playing through NiGHTS (Wii) and Dracula: Origin(PC), still trying to beat those two to move on. -
Infogrames/Atari merger finally complete
Lynxer2007 replied to Lynxer2007's topic in Modern Console Discussion
What properties? Infogrames owned all the properties, Atari Inc. was leasing them. I thought Atari, Inc. owned the GT Interactive properties and the Accolade properties too. Or were you talking about the retro Atari properties? I was referring to the Atari, Inc. props(Bubsy, Test Drive, etc.), not just the retro stuff(PONG, Asteroids, Etc.) Nall3k, I do agree, they do need a new website layout (it's so BORING) Notice how they call themselves the 'Infogrames Group' instead of the 'Atari Group' now. I wonder what that means? -
Today marks the day when Infogrames Entertainment fully consumes whats left of Atari, Inc. I wonder what will Infogrames do with all of Atari's properties (or what's left) LINK

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I'm looking forward to your Youtube vid about it (I'm a subscriber ) Here's hoping for a positive review
-
So that's where I remember your username from. I'm one of your subscribers on Youtube, just to let ya know. I seen that video a few weeks ago. Great video, glad you gave a positive review of the system. Looking forward to more of your vids

I don't understand why it's performing terribly over there. I guess they just hate foreign game consoles.

I have a problem with Atari Karts on the Jag. You see, the game always erases itself of all saved data after an extended period of time. I would play it and unlock a few things, then when I pop it back in from a few weeks without playing it, all the data is gone. Is there any way to fix this or do I have to buy another copy? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

Atari's turn around, interview with CEO Jim Wilson.
Lynxer2007 replied to Nall3k's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Whats cooking? Are you serious, what kind of crap is that!?!?! Race Pro looks sweet, I'll get that for sure. N+ looks good too. But, that cooking game sounds dumb as ****. Why can't they try being original. Nintendo and Majesco already have cooking games out. What else are they releasing this year? Dragonball, of course. We see, like, a billion of those come out every year Not bad games, but they're milking that series to death. Whatever makes money, I guess. -

Not really what I was thinking of I was actually thinking of them changing it back to the original. Much better than today's This will do fine, as well. I just don't want the logo integrated with the name -

I see. Well, thanks for clearing all that up for me. I wonder if, with all the new management and name change, they'll redo the logo. I like the current one, but they should really change it. The current one seems kind of tarnished IMO. -

I agree. Putting a country in the name is just screaming "my company will never get big enough to expand internationally". Actually, before they were forced to rename themselves Atari Inc., they were Infogrames NA. So a return to that style of naming isn't to far fetched. I thought the US arm used to be called Infogrames, Inc. I still have some of their games from 2002 and 2003 and back of the box it says Infogrames, Inc. along with their NY address and so on. If they're going to rename Atari, Inc., they should just drop the name completely. I'm gonna hate seeing an "Atari America, Inc." label on their games. -

I think they should keep it as Atari, Inc. Renaming it to Atari America or Atari US sounds stupid, at least to me. Usually you wouldn't put the name of the country in the company name it was founded in. I'll be pissed if they change the name. -
Same here. Really looking forward to this on the 360.

Whats the most you've paid for a system?
Lynxer2007 replied to TwinChargers's topic in Modern Console Discussion
My most expensive console was that 360 I bought last year. Most cheapest was the Atari FB 2 for $20 -
The background looks distracting, but still fun. I hope there's a US release.

Classic Game systems spotted in movies...
Lynxer2007 replied to EricDeLee's topic in Classic Console Discussion
They were playing an NES in the Cosby show. Bill Cosby's "dad" was playing with Bill looking on. I also remember an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel air where Will Smith was playing an NES, I think he also had the Zapper. -

Here's an update from Gamespot. -
I already knew about the d-pad being a volume adjuster. I tinkered with it a bit and functions properly now. I guess it didn't had a good connection with the base unit. I took it off, blew in both units, inserted it back in firmly and works now. Thank you very much for the link, those instructions are very helpful
