they invented PAL so that 20 years later, we PAL- (and ntsc too) collectors in europe can seriously compete with us-collectors that mostly stop between 600-700 carts. i just reached the 1000 carts now it's up to you to help me reach the 3000

i'd have to say, marc oberhäuser is probably first after seeing a video about him and having him on the phone a few time. he's got more protos than tempest, and probably more boxed games than marco. while for the brazil carts and the weird stuff, i'd say marco is no. 1 BTW ... quote why do you call me a lunatic ...

What games would you like to see a Homebrew Sequel too.
jahfish replied to Joel D. Park's topic in Atari 2600
i'd love some crossover stuff like ... 3D PIT PAC TOE like modern flippers have a second level to play or a build in video game, you'll have to play a round of pac man to get out when you fall in a trap while the pifall game. -
you figured it out scott .... if infogames wins, the way is paved for a big disaster !!!! the most versatile writer here (sorry i'm french and live in germany) should prepare a letter complaining about their letter stating that we all love atari and tell our common point of view. we need to spam them with this letter, they need to know there's people out there who do care. otherwise we'll be spammed with their digital bull****! (sorry users of modern consoles)

well, actually the list is not chronologic, so i just found out i am not no. 1

thanx for the info. good to know as i'm on the hunt ...

i can only say ... examine exactly the case of etoy and etoys.com ..... atari.com is the main site infogame should surely have 100%, but i think any additional name can't just be taken back like that .... he should claim he's an electronic artist and does art projects. you have a lot of freedom as artist to do various things ... for the internet for example, the case of etoy.com has proven it!
-
BTW, the pacman board game is really cool too ... i often play it with my daughter!
-
i've been bidding on one at ebay a few months ago. it ended at 168$ but didn't reach the reserve price. i offered 200$ but didn't get a reply to my mail ... seems people were not interested ... ?!?!?! is it too expensive?
-
oh please you programmers out there. make a bootleg for them. infogame invaders (fans win!) i'll donate one cart for that and even make a label design for it! let's send them at least 10 carts to different infogames offices ...

the thing with etoy and etoys was just the same. etoy were an art group of 5 international people (san fransisco-prague-zurich...) while etoys had allready their name and were running their business over it. they just wanted that etoy.com on top for users that may have forgotten the"s" while connecting to the page. and i personally think we have the same situation with atarilabs.com what the hell does infogames think they are. just because they have more power (=money) ??? go to rtmark.com i am sure you'll get a massive help for starting a counter-attack against infogames, specially because it's atari-related and has a certain "cult" i am also sure you have the support from all of us here on the message board too. start a mailing action for example. everybody sends a mail to 10 infogames-mail-accounts (or any you can find out, plus adding info, webmaster, help...and all the tipical mailadresses) with a text saying "i've read about the problems in many boards, why don't you save atari-labs.com for you? brothers and sisters keep atarilabs.com alive atari x

i would ask all of you programmers to make me a new game called "ISLAND ESCAPE". when you make it to the end, the gameline module connects to the rscue team and they pick you up
-
you need to get the book "mastering pac man" by ken huston (new american library, 1981) and you'll think different ....
-
hi Lawrence, i have seen something similar happen to friends of mine. they are international artists and had the domain etoy.com. then suddenly etoys.com had the idea just to take it over. it was a big story in the media ... there's has been an immense fight and THEY WON against etoys!!!!! don't let yourself be threatened .... fight!!!!!! **** the big companies. go to www.rtmark.com and get some help over there. these guy have interesting projects against big companies. there's also a section dedicated to the etoy-fight. it's not an easy fight, so you can find people helping you over there .... even post your own project and find many supporters. check the url and let yourself be inspired by other projects posted there. or maybe contact the etoy-crew and ask them if they can help you on this ... greetings

no, everything is secret 8and too chaotic) yet ... at the moment we're more focused on the technical side than the graphics. but you've seen my label and maybe my "hypetrex/"vectrex record, so you know it's gonna be first class quality .... a-t-a-r-i stands for ancient technologies art research institute so there's gonna be more than just atari2600 ... a friend of mine was at the nasa museum to see the "first" video game ever created, also visited nintendo in tokyo, and wrote a book about interfaces and the relation between man and machine. the rest will be coverage of my atarimania and the items/pics i'm finding ... right now i have more than 5000 atari pictures, not conting the non-atari stuff ... f.e. 400 pac man pics, 2000 pics of pre 80ies computers .... problem at the moment is finding some cheap and fast webspace, i look for somebody (agency or so) that does it for free. BTW, i haven't won any price yet .... here's link no. 3 for the ... Fancy Label Club that's real fun if you're talented in graphics (please no beginners ), i participated in round #2 post more links ...
