FS/FT: atari 520st + HD + Monitor
Sauron replied to maximebeauvais's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Possibly confusion from someone not familiar with the ST. I've seen many people refer to external ST floppy drives as "hard drives" without honestly knowing the difference. -
Damn, four pages of a couple of troublemakers trying to take a shit on the Jaguar yet again. Why must we go through this on a monthly basis??
-
The Lynx forum isn't getting deluged with messages as it is. There's no problem with discussing development in this forum.
-
I already moved one of the three threads he started with the same title to the Modern Gaming forum. Please use the correct forums for non-Atari related posts.
-
Hey guys, I appreciate the continued contributions to this thread. Keep those reviews coming! Edit: I've made this thread a sticky so that I don't have to keep digging it up. Let's see some more reviews!

Looks like RS3 is in the works, and the screenshots posted so far are looking VERY good. You can see the screenshots here, but the gamers.com website has been getting hammered all day, so it may be slow going.

The monitor cable you're seeking shows up on eBay pretty often also, and generally goes for pretty darn cheap. As much as you might hate eBay, it is a great place to find many items for cheap.
-
As far as games you don't have yet, these are must haves: AvP Iron Soldier 1 & 2 Defender 2K Missile Command 3D Protector SE Battlesphere I'll disagree with davidcalgary's cheap games to avoid. Both of those are plenty fun, even though they aren't considered "A+" titles. Brutal Sports Football is at it's best when playing multiplayer. Flip-Out is actually surprisingly fun, if you're willing to give it a shot. Whatever you do, avoid these games like the plague: Double Dragon V Fight for Life Air Cars Checkered Flag If you're looking at getting a Jag CD (which you should), the following games are also must-haves: Battlemorph Hover Strike: Unconquered Lands Primal Rage Iron Soldier 2 CD I'd also recommend the JagCD just for the fact that most future Jag homebrews should be released on CD.

I would definitely agree with that. I'm sure many of us Atari fanatics would pay for something like that.
-
I don't think $40 for three of the items you listed is unreasonable at all, especially for B&C. One thing to keep in mind is that when you order from places like B&C or Best, you're generally guaranteed that the item you're purchasing is in good condition, even if it's used. I know that their prices may seem outrageous at times (and in many instances are), but they're far more reliable than purchasing something off eBay.

That's funny, I had no problems with the controls when I first started playing it. I guess it helps that I'm not viewing the world through Xbox-colored lenses. I'll have to agree with theaveng on this one. ED really is pure genious. It's one of the best games I've played in recent memory. In fact, I should probably go back through and finish with the two remaining colors to see the "real" ending....

Warbirds is an absolute blast to play linked. I'd suggest picking it up if you can find it for a decent price.

Atari Proline Joystick & Atari Joypad
Sauron replied to walter_J64bit's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I'm pretty sure that the 8bits can only use one fire button on those controllers. -
Here are the binaries to Cracked, Whales and Pickup!!
Sauron replied to pizzaboy's topic in Atari 2600
Too bad my German is a little too rusty right now.... I'm wondering what surprises "pizzaboy" may have for us next! -

Sauron replied to pizzaboy's topic in Atari 2600
Wow, it's hard to believe these hadn't been released before now. I remember reading about these games quite a while ago, but it's cool I can actually try them out now. -
Yes, it's a foolish move because then you wouldn't be able to play the game I'm working on.
-
What if someone made a 2600 converter for the Lynx similar to the Master System converter for the Sega Game Gear? I think it could definitely be possible, especially with that 2600 on a chip project.
-
Do we really need this kind of stuff on here?
-
If you already have a 130XE, you may as well just stick with that. You're not really gaining much with an 800XL other than having the cartridge slot on top (which is nice).
-
Fine then, be that way...just thought the Lynx forum could use some extra traffic.
-
Just for the record, the OMC website is mostly back up now, but with a slightly different domain. The new one is www.omc-games.com.
-
Yeah, sounds like it's time for a new 130XE. Sorry to hear about that, my 800XL has been giving me fits too.
-
Well, you can get Super PacMan here.
-
Was the starting bid at $250? Didn't think so. And I believe the answer to that last question has already been answered.
-
I already have, it is no longer fun. I hope you whining brats are happy. Now someone please explain how this is beneficial to the community again? CPUWIZ - Have you possibly considered another auction site, or are you not going to sell them now?
