This kind of passive-aggressive behavior isn't doing you any favors.
-
Right, which we all know you are an expert on, especially regarding the Jag's abilities.
-
Others in the same boat weren't making the same game. But of course you can continue to live in your fantasy world believing that the Jaguar was as powerful as the PSX. It's apparent by now that no amount of facts will deter your fantasy.

Good work! It's a fun little game.

Stupid Noob Question Regarding the Jaguar Motorola 68000
Sauron replied to Ctoan's topic in Atari Jaguar
What CJ said. The Jag could easily emulate the Genesis. The problem is finding someone to do the necessary work for it to happen. -
Exactly what I was thinking. Anyone who's ever lived in "fire ant" territory automatically thinks of them (and their painful stings) when they hear the word "ants".
-
Um, pretty much every development tool created for Jag development.

I was in the process of typing up a reply when lachoneus posted his, saying what I wanted to say much better than I could.

You didn't have to say "all", that's implied when you label AA as a whole, which is what you are doing repeatedly. And the only reason I'm bringing up your drama is to show that those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. We have a word for that in English, it's called "hypocrisy". What exactly do you define as "unnecessary criticism"? Sure, we're all civilized when other devs create a game. However, they tend to spend a lot more time testing and fixing bugs. Believe me, I've been testing Reboot's games for years, and you wouldn't believe the number of revisions that we tend to go through for each release before anyone outside of the group even sees the game. It's not at all unreasonable to ask another developer to at least do due diligence with their own games. When someone goes out of their way to state they are calm, that usually means they aren't. However, I agree with you in a sense in that some of the dogpiling has been a little over the top. Hence, why I locked the thread before he gave an explanation, and why I'll lock it again if it continues.

Can't really disgree, but at the same time, when something like this happens, everyone tends to give their opinion of the situation. "Possying up" on someone isn't always an intended action.
-
Oh wow, yet another one of these. I like how you lump ALL of AA in together as one bunch. Get off your high horse. After the drama that you created on JS2, you have no room to be calling out anyone here for any kind of behavior. One person used the word "scammer" in regards to Jeff, and I agree that that phrase is a bit harsh. I'll also agree that everyone should cut him some slack. He made some bad decisions and he's been trying to make amends. We could all do with calming down a bit, yourself included. Don't lump all of AA together when one or two people make harsh comments.

Ok, that didn't take long. Unlocking it per Jeffrey_Bones' request.

Ok guys, that's enough. I'm locking this thread for now. If Jeffrey_Bones would like to add any kind of explanation, I'll unlock the thread so he can do so.

PhoenixEmuProject or IrataJaguar Emulator(Based off Phoenix)
Sauron replied to sandroace's topic in Atari Jaguar
Been trying it out. Some stuff seems to work pretty well, other stuff not so much. Controls in the games that work seems very laggy, and some games have problems with sound. The emulator is far from being user friendly. I haven't done anything near comprehensive testing, but as I see it right now, the claims of 95% compatibility seem greatly exaggerated. -
Because it's about a lot more than just inserting music. If it were that easy, Doom would have shipped with in-game music. .
-
Which means pretty much everyone except for yourself. Stay on topic, please.

Ideally, the type of monitor you would want is a multisync that can handle both VGA and RGB. Like Chris said, many early games and demos (as well as ST games) require RGB. Multisyncs are getting quite hard to find though.

And this and your other nonsensical posts have what to do with the topic of this thread?
-
Just one small suggestion that I have as well...you might want to look into trying to fix up some of the glitches that the game experiences in the emulators (namely VJ). While that can be a total pain in the ass to do at times, I think it's worth it. A lot of people who might consider buying a physical copy may not have a Skunkboard and will give the game a spin in an emu first, and it's worth it to make a good first impression with that. I'd be happy to do some additional VJ testing for you if necessary.
-
I don't think there are any homebrew authors who would care one way or another about making overlays for their games.
-
Who all was on the testing team, and how many of them have experience with testing a shipped product before? I agree 100% with CyranoJ. This game certainly has a lot of potential, but right now it's very broken. And please don't take that as a bash against you or the game, as that's not my intention at all. I honestly think the game needs a bit more time in the oven before it's ready for release.

Then get to it! *cracks the whip*
