Should we presume Atari800win plus is dead?
Kaz atarionline.pl replied to Mclaneinc's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
What do you exactly need? My version of emulator works fine without contact from Jaskier -
zXEmulator can emulate ZX Basic as well (in the current version part of ROM with Basic is not added because xxl thinks it is senseless). Any interesting programs in ZX Basic?

Ladies and gentleman, After a few weeks of hard work and a couple of months without any activity we can proudly present next milestone in Atari programming: version 1.0 of zXEmulator. It is a Z80 processor and ZX Spectrum 16k emulator (not-fully-completed-yet), made by Krzysztof "xxl" Dudek , supported by ZX Spectrum programs loader written by Tomasz "tebe" Biela. Short description: D - disc directory, L - load SNA file (you have to type full file path, for example D2:CIRCLE2.SNA), E - exit program. Run and enjoy. Extended description in Polish here and atr disc here. You can comment, report bugs and help with emulator development. All coders, who want to participate in the project are more than welcome!

Jet Set Willy 2007
Kaz atarionline.pl replied to Kaz atarionline.pl's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
As far as I know xxl's program was based on the Spectrum SNA file with a few patches. Attic bug was one of fixed problems. Krzysztof, could you confirm that? However, there are other bugs xxl decided to left. You can meet around 3 places in the game with highlighted fields but no objects inside. You can't see an object to collect, but you can collect it anyway. According to xxl's explanation, that is a problem with level design in Spectrum version. An attribute for an object is set, but there is no graphics. Thus, Atari version is better - you don't need to spend ours to find all these places out. Second Spectrum bug left in our version: you can pick up the invisible object just coming in and out of the room Next bug in Atari version is not related to Spectrum bugs: you don't see water in swimming pool, but it is exist. This bug was too complicated to fix - fixed gfx affected game, for example: the moving rope could grab Willy from every place in the room. Magic... -
Jet Set Willy 2007

I compared this map with Spectrum version and found one mistake on it. There is no screen on the top (don't remember room name). -
For example I need That's the challenge. Nothing less, nothing more. And this type of questions have no sense at all... You can also ask: who needs Atari or Commodore in XXI century? If I good remember, Fox created the Doom-like engine (more complicated than Wolfenstain-like engine) successfully and shown in Numen demo to present the power of it. ZX Doom looks poor and awful when we compare it with Numen 3D engine. Only reason game wasn't completed had the non-technical nature: Fox expected that somebody will help him with no-programming work (project leading, level designing, etc). And why all of you are talking about game (Vector) you have never watched in action?

Is there any person who is going to complete this game and/or prepare a map of Jet Set Willy rooms? -
Jet Set Willy 2007
Kaz atarionline.pl replied to Kaz atarionline.pl's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Finally we've got the best Jet Set Willy conversion ever . Last changes made by xxl: a) Basic is disabled now (reported by Rybags) b) bathtub draw on start screen repaired (bug reported by Jacques) c) bug related to cheat mode fixed (xxl) d) game background coloured (my idea) e) all objects to collect coloured up by PMG (xxl) f) load screen (improved picture from Amstrad) attached (my idea) g) other small bugs fixed (xxl). The new article and screenshots here, fixed game here. -
Shouldn't you just write that you looking for a good Atari coder?

Jet Set Willy 2007
Kaz atarionline.pl replied to Kaz atarionline.pl's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I heard this about colours before and don't agree. You can see three colours in the present version (frame, background, objects) instead of two (black and white) in your proposition. Better solution is to colour it up (including DLI and PMG) and it is possible, but needs hours of work xxl don't want to spend. Try to push him... I tried and was unsuccesfull . Title screen was converted from Amstrad loading screen by me and not attached to final file because xxl planned to keep JSW engine as close as possible to ZX version. It is important to use levels and objects from other Spectrum versions of JSW easily. -
Just to inform you that famous Krzysztof Dudek known as xxl released a next game conversion from ZX Spectrum: Jet Set Willy 2007. The article in Polish here and files here. Enjoy! Bug reports and opinions are very welcome!

There were (and are) both versions (1.0 and 1.1) on my webpage. Allas' game is very nice, but I'm looking for version 1.2 with slight changes I pointed out to Allas: to make it faster and possible to break.

Impressive! Game looks amazing. Will you release it on cartridge only? What's you further plan - selling carts or publish dump? Or xex file? -
It seems that's not true
