  1. I'm not sure that "will not be available from Songbird" means OOP in terms of the Jag games. They are Telegames releases. Centipede on the Lynx, I completely understand though. ETA: I should probably clarify why I'm saying this. IS2 and Breakout 2000 are presumably still Atari IP. As is Centipede. Atari obviously put the kibosh on Songbird and AA selling certain games/using Atari logos. Does their reach extend to Telegames in the UK? That I don't know, but that is why I'm assuming that Songbird won't be selling those games.
  2. Nice, Protector SE is on sale, if you don't have that game you're missing out on one of the best releases IMO.
  3. What did you eat for dinner and at what time?
  4. Finding a sealed Rayman will be next to impossible, I completed a full set (that is no longer full) maybe 10 years ago and even back then sealed copies were nowhere to be found.
  5. I think the fact that they only released Taito games packaged into a handheld is a good sign they won't release carts. Same thing w/Capcom. The Taito Super Pocket is a good deal at $60. The only problem I could see would be attempting to play carts that use the shoulder buttons as I can't imagine a good way to use those without my hands cramping up. But as is for the included games, it's a great little handheld.
  6. Why would they have used a prop cart? It wouldn't be an accurate representation of the product the customer would receive. Imagine thinking it's a nice, sleek handheld and when you get it there's a void in the back where a cart should be. Was any handheld in history ever advertised with a prop cart to fill space?
  7. Jag forum gonna Jag forum. 1. Yes, in order to save the Jag they should've released a console that combined a cart console few bought with a CD add-on with a handful of games even fewer people wanted let alone purchased. Brilliant! 2. Of course, the well known Scrapyard Dog franchise could've bested Sonic and Mario or at least been fierce competition. It seemed like in the early 90's all anyone talked about on the playground was Scrapyard Dog and come 1994 we didn't have a 64-bit version. Atari really screwed up there. 3. Agreed, smooth running texture mapped games were the Jag's strong point, I don't know why there weren't more of those. 4. Nintendo was well known in the 90's for allowing competitors to release their flagship titles on their own hardware, so it's hard to understand why they couldn't come to an agreement with Atari for Mario 64. Just like how many licks it takes to get the the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop, we'll never know why this didn't happen. I'm sure the fact the Jag was discontinued by the time the N64 came out had nothing to do with it. I heard Excitebike 3DO was close to release too. 5. Yeah, why didn't developers spend 10s if not 100s of thousands of dollars trying to port PS1 and N64 games to the Jag. It's like they didn't even care enough to try and see what happened. Laziness. 6. What better way to sell a next-gen 64-bit console than to offer 15+ year old games on it. Now there's what would've saved the Jag! So to summarize, releasing a JagDuo that played Mario 64, Daytona, Tomb Raider, Combat, Pac-Man and Sonic & Knuckles would've saved the Jag. Simple as that.
  8. I'm sure that new screen looks amazing, but for how much I use my Deck I'm OK with the OG screen. The improved battery life is nice, I can see someone who uses their deck a lot wanting the new model.
  9. What other games has he released? Or is his first project going to be a Mortal Kombat port on the Jag? Which seems 100% reasonable and very likely to be released if that's the case.
  10. Look at Evercade's social media posts from yesterday (the 26th) and you'll see the code.
  11. Well then don't watch the above video and keep trying on your own. Problem solved.
  12. This may be helpful for you, a pretty good list of the games and sometimes systems for which they're designed: https://www.timeextension.com/guides/evercade-games-all-evercade-cartridges-released-so-far
  13. That looks and sounds great!
  14. It really depends on what you want. If you want a bunch of 8 and 16 bit games you can get everywhere else, they've got that covered. If you like old school computer games, they have carts for that. If you don't already own Xeno Crisis, that's a great cart for the price. If you haven't experienced the Intellivision, I'd recommend those carts. If you want obscure arcade games, they've got you covered there as well. Modern homebrew on retro consoles? There are carts for that too.
  15. Yeah, that's the one. The bubbles of water and spikes on the ground did add something different, so I'll give it that. If I do lose a life on a Bowser Jr battle it's generally because I jump too early while he's spinning in his shell.
  16. I finished off 4 earlier today, I liked the old school feel of the boss level (I forget what they're called). However Bowser Jr. is always so easy to beat. For whatever reason, New Super Mario Bros Wii felt like just more of the same for me and I couldn't really get into that game. But with Wonder it feels like the old Mario games, but with enough new concepts to keep me interested and make it feel fresh.
  17. How many more ways to play classic Neo games do we really need? And what new SNK games are we talking about? The KOF XXVII or whatever they're on now?
  18. I'm digging it, I'm about halfway through worlds 4 and 5, dabbled in 6 a bit. I'm generally not a 100% kinda guy, but going back and 100%ing W1 was a good time and a good way to rack up some purple coins.
  19. Wow, the guy's sig is actually a list of users he has on ignore. That seems like a healthy way to live. Mario > Sonic.
  20. The beauty is that over 3 years ago he started taking pre-orders for a game on that forum with promises of new games every few months. Want to guess what he delivered? Then, and this may shock you, he found ways to improve his engine, the release was delayed, then he got sick, then disappeared for over a year and abandoned the thread. Now he pops back up like all of that didn't happen and starts making new promises. Sound familiar?
  21. NEW FEATURE Per Game Button Mapping (BETA) - Users can now remap the buttons on their games on a per game basis. - This function is still in beta as more feedback and case scenarios are discovered - To remap buttons, enter the ellipsis [...] menu on the right-hand side of the game selection screen, and select "Edit Controls (BETA)" - Follow the onscreen instructions to remap your controls. - If you need to reset your mapping to your game, you can also find this in the ellipsis menu under "Reset controls to default layout" - You will not be able to remap the Directional controls, nor the Evercade Menu button as these are essential for in-game menu navigation.
  22. Did he by chance leave a copy of his Road Rash port or HERO 3D in the cart slot as a gift?
  23. Read my post again to learn what the thing in the middle is.
