  1. Anybody know of a good source to get some NES and SNES games outside of chasing them down on ebay? I would like to get a short list of games (some of the more sought after ones too - Mario RPG, Contra, etc.) and I am coming up short of finding a source outside of ebay. estarland I have used before but they very slim pickins with these platforms IMHO. I would really like ot a find a place where I can get a majority of the list knocked off and done. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Mike
  2. Well, like a dummy I didn't realize the NEX just had clear tape on the box (the box is clear so easy miss ) I took it out and tried a game, boy it's even harder to get a game to seat and pull out than the new pinned nintendo! Plus the thing is so tiny it's a two hand job to take the cart out. Plus I noticed it's leaving marks on the outside of the game carts, looks like there are plastic guides inside that are rubbiing. It's such a slick looking system though..too bad. I think I would stay with the toaster over this based on this factor (guess the nex is hitting ebay). My son is pretty savvy when it comes to doing everything I just don't think he could get the games to seat all the way it's the last inch where you push them in and pulling them out is pretty hard. So I guess the yobo or the NES-002 Toploader is my other options. So which is the worst evil? The video quality of the RF connection on a toplaoder or the video quality of a yobo with a NOAC? Not that I really think were talking huge differences here, and my kid will never notice the difference, but hey if I gotta make a choice on something... Any other opinions on the yobo? Remember I know this whole game seating thing is kinda off the wall, but he is just a little kid and I would love for him to be able to do this by himself and not get frustrated. Thanks for all the help Mike
  3. Not trying to troll here or start any kind of war. I have a legitimate question, hoping I can get answered by someone who may have had some real hands on experience with the Yobo, NEX and the NES Toploader. Here's my situation - I just recently dug out my old NES for my son who is 5 yrs old. He can handle the two buttons simple layout of the controller and loves playing the zapper games. I re-pinned my old NES with a new 72 pin connector. Did a great job of fixing issues with the old toaster, but even after a month of use the games are super hard to pull out and seat. My little guy has alot of trouble loading games himself. I'd like to maybe get a system for his room so he can play on his own. I bought a NEX on ebay (haven't used or opened it yet) but I'm thinking maybe we should go another direction. I've heard the NEX is hard to line up games in the slot? Should we go for a top loader like the yobo? or Should I consider a toploader Ver. 2 NES? I would open the NEX and give it a try if I could but it is in a sealed clear plastic box. I would have to destroy it to open it. The yobo seems like it would be good, but I had a yobo prior (the non-us version) and I hated the adapter for it. The games were wobbly and did not seat right. I wondering how well the game seat with both of these systems and if one would be eaiser than the other for a young kid. The last issue with an original NES is I always hear/read about how the official NEW toplaoder is crappy with the RF only video support...but in the same sentence you hear how these AV purist say the yobo and NEX have issues too. So which would be the lesser of all evils? I don't care about price to a degree (seems like most peoples issue with the NEX is price and original marketing hype - not an issue to me) . I don't care about 100% compatibility and audio/video issues with clones. I just want something quality that will stand up to the kids use and be easy for him to use (ie - I don't have to be around for him to play) Any suggestions? Any opinions on use of the yobo or nex? on any of this? Thanks for looking, Mike
