I don't have the back lit version, just the standard one. BTW Wheel of Fortune 2 is on eBay.co.uk right now, or rather as a lot. So how does RE2 work? A bit like RE: Gaiden for GBC?

These boards don't seem to work very well with DreamKey 3.0 and won't let me post at all, it just reloads the post a message page when you hit submit. I know that there a few people out there that used to use the DC on the old board, so I thought I'd just mention it.

Hey dude top notch once again. The new site is currently going on to the AtariAge server now, so the GCComic section should be around by the middleish of next month.

I think that there's a simpler reason than all of this Microsoft buy out stuff, whether it's true or not - I certainly don't believe that MS forced Sega to discontinue the DC. Basicaly the DC wasn't mainstream enough. The market had changed and Sega couldn't keep up with what people wanted. The mass market don't want to play RPG's that take 60 hours to complete *cough* Skies Of Arcadia *cough* they wanted Resident Evil (NB Code Veronica came too late in the day). Any games that were the sort of after-pub-mates-round were already on the PSX which a lot of people had. Also Sega ballsed up the advertising. I will say this though, developers did like the system, yet when I was talking to the guys at Confounding Factor they thought the system was dead from the start, which is why they canned Galleon. Real shame. If you really study the release list and compare it to what was already on the PSX then you'll sort of relise why the casual gamer wasn't interested. Sonic just doesn't sell any more.

I've just aquired a Game.com this morning and I've been looking about for stuff about it. I've noticed that there are some stunning titles: Sonic Jam, Resident Evil 2, Fighters Megamix, Duke Nukem....bla bla bla. I had no idea. But, I've also read reviews that the game.com is a crock of shite, I know you should never take everything you read as gosple - look at the crap we put on atarinvader.com - so is this platform worth me investing cash on? Surely RE2 and Sonic Jam can't be bad games...can they? and what about the modem?

Sorry dude, it seems like I'm the SMS connection for half the world, I'm searching for a few people at the moment. Add a Game.com + Batman & Robin + Lights Out to that list.

If you like puzzles then Zoop and Flip-Out are top notch, also I-War is pretty good, I've only got 8 games so far, but those are the best of what I've got. I also have White Men Can't Jump which is unplayable, really really bad. I'm looking for new games BTW, if anybody wants to trade me some then have a look for my post in the market place. I recently came in to some NOS Jag, Lynx and Game Gear stuff which is for trade, aswell as a load of 2600 stuff.

To clear up, brill is a very 80's slang term, which is indeed short from brilliant. I haven't heard that one in a while... I wish I could do some football gloating, but you Swedish lucked out

What I'd have done in that situation is dug a pit and cover my hands in tar and broken glass... I want to put an end to the long association between Atari geeks and violence. Right here and now!
-
They make up about 3% of my collection, if thats any help...
-
If you want a CX40 stick then give me a shout and one is yours... Bare in mind that you could also use a controller from any pre-saturn Sega console aswell as most home computers (ZX Spectrum, C64 etc)

I'm pretty shocked at that, especialy with rumours that they're about to launch their own merchandies range! I'd like one and have trade... -

Do you know exactly where it is? or could you find out? I'd like to have a look next time I'm in London. I'll tell you what I find weird, in my collection I don't have a Pac-Man, I've never found one with a decent enough label. I've even got a decent Sear copy, but no Atari. Weird huh? I personaly think that Space Invaders is more common than Combat here.

quote Look what I ended up with I would have guessed at a lot more than 700 unique games. How many did Atari alone release? 150(ish)?

Infogrames are apparently preparing to release their own range of Atari merchandise and are getting tough. -
What are you talking about Stan? You were raised by wolves in the forest, until they abandoned you by the enterance to my basement... How about this for a novel way of getting Atari stuff?
-
IMHO I don't think there are enough threads to justify it. Maybe if the auctions forum was changed to include the wild...?
