    You've tried the mod on a PAL sixer before?

     

    It uses all the same chips as a Jr model, but its just layed more neatly, so it should, in therory, work.

     

    I've looked up the buffer in RS and it seems that its just a basic non-inverting buffer, and that the signal is too weak after, which is why you can't get a signal, I'm gonna look into it a bit more.

    Isn't pin 20 just +5V? So what exactly does it do when added to the luma, sync and chroma?

     

    I'm gonna try and get a 'scope and see if I can get a buffered signal tommorow.

    Radoof: I've been trying to get a composite signal on my 6 switcher from after the video buffer. I though it would be cleaner than combining the signals off the Stella chip.

     

    After the buffer the 3 luma signals, sync and chroma combine before going to the modulator, but I can't get anything at this point (pin 12 connecting the top and main board). Any idea why?

    I'm not sure if it is definetly the tube. Thats all that I was told by the guy that had it. Getting hold of the tube shouldn't be a probably if its still being made or was quite commonly used.

    I'd recomend DarkBASIC for a beginner, or those with a short attention span.

     

    But maybe C would be more usefull to learn. I've got a few booklets from my beginner C course if you want them...

    It soon ends up OT....

     

    I'm definetly having msg board problems of various sorts, but nothing major.

     

    I sometimes get a horizontal scroll bar if people make words that go across my whole screen without hitting that return key or space bar. This never used to happen and its quite irritating.

     

    It also sometimes doesn't load at all.

     

    BTW Stan put your front away or you'll end up back in the Atarinvader basment. Shhesh you can't take him anywhere, god'am' animal.

    Thats the problem I found with Asteriods, so I'm going to add 2 'radar' one on the XY and one on the YZ.

     

    Asteriods seems to be going quite well now so I'll continue with that for a bit then put it up for download.
