Woooo....this thread is all over place. Liqiud: Dude, the review is excellent. More please? Jah/Fret': Maybe we should have an AtariAge Amsterdam trip, get consent forms from mum and dad... King: I'll check my mail for #3. Haven't you got the newsletter yet? Has everyone else? Stan: The site isn't up yet. The host decided it would be a good idea to delete the site, make me reregister and plaster ads everywhere. I've got a new host, but i can't get the FTP access working. Im looking forward to the next article, but no need to rush it. Phewww.... Atarinvader is going to be back in the next few days (fingers crossed) and sooo much better than ever. There's gonna be a search for the article and review section, and you lot will be able to instantly submit reviews, just as if you were posting here. Now where did I put my Rizla?

How about you do these: -Pac-Man -Ms. Pac-Man -Jr. Pac-Man -Combat -Missile Command -Space Invaders Me and Fret'...were just..ummm..talking about a Malboro Light each.....

DUDE! You and Stan are so good to me....

My last trip to Amsterdam nearly killed me ! No Glastonbury?!?! If I go to Reading, then I'll drop you a line and we'll met up for a lil' smoke. Reading is a bit too comercial for me.

Atarinvader has been down for the last couple of weeks or so, but it'll be up again soon and better than ever. However you'll only be able to access it through either http://www.atarinvader.com or http://atarinvader.com from now on. I'm going to extend the mini-review section, and although StanJr and King Atari do a good job locked in my basement, I want to get as many reviews as possible for the section, making it a resourceful database. I need reviews which are about 150-200 words and has *'s out of four. Here's an example: quote: Dark Chambers by Atari *** One of the most advanced games the 2600 saw, this comes dangerously close to rivaling a Nintendo game in quantity. This was released in 1988, when Atari was pretty much six feet under, but it's amazingly complex. A definite plus is two players can play at once, so nobody gets bored waiting for the other to die. You play a Knight venturing under an old castle, collecting treasure, keys, and food while fighting un-dead creatures. A cool premise to be sure. And it works. The idea of traveling in labyrinths under an old castle is a great idea. The whole point of the game is never clearly explained, the back of the box gives a hint about making yourself a master of the subterranean empire, so that's reason enough to play. The only thing this game suffers from is the characters move a little too slow, and the rooms tend to get boring, they're all the same except for different colors. Still, a definite must for the collector. Highly recommended. We already have the following reviews: Basketball - Bowling - Centipede - Chase the Chuck Wagon - Commando - Dark Chambers - Double Dragon -Double Dunk - E.T.-The Extra Terrestrial - Ghostbusters - Home Run - Ikari Warriors - Karate - Mario Bros. - M*A*S*H - Pete Rose Baseball - Raiders of the Lost Ark - Rampage - Slot Racers - Sneek 'n Peek - Superman - Swordquest: Earthworld - Swordquest: Fireworld - Swordquest: Waterworld - Xenophobe If you could help out then let me know. BTW StanJr and King Atari have been working on a special set of articles which will go up when everything is sorted with the servers.

Keep a look out for the 50 best games the 2600 has to offer, aswell as a HUGE round up of all the major hombrews, they'll be up by the end of the week. Albert / Alex: We're trying to extend the 2600 review section, and at some point we will put a CGI search in. Maybe we could link the search up, as with the eBay search in the cart search? So as people can search for reviews on Atarinvader. Whatcha think?
-
Thanks Albert and Alex! Ive been searching for these pics for ages now! I can finaly finish my VCSp with out weeks of tracing the circuits, and trying to work out what does what.

When I was designing my website I was gonna stick in an ST section. I got a template together in Flash 4. Have a look here. It would be a shame for it to go to waste as I spent alot of time on it. So if anyone is doing an ST website then contact me and they're free to use it.

There's always a possibilty that there are games out there that no collector has ever found, maybe another Men-A-Vision game? Whats known about the company? and what country was it produced in?
-
quote: Originally posted by liveinabin: I saw a guy list Combat as rare on UK ebay recently. Mind, anyone who's ever looked for atari carts in the wild here will know that it (and every other cartridge) is So true. So true. I love the way that AtariAge is used by eBay sellers like a bible.
-
Okay, I've been trying to work this out for a while. Which 2600 cart, that was actually in production, is considered the rarest? I know Quadrun is THE most sort after, but is it actually harder to find than Chase The Chuck Wagon? or Tooth Protectors? or Coke Wins? And are there any figures to amounts produced?

While were on the subject of ST's I rembered that Atarinvader was orginaly gonna have an ST section... Anyway, have a look at the ATARINVADER ST desktop

Good job King! I wish I had the time to finish my VCSp, I got about 65% into it. *sob* One day I'll dig it out again.
-
Not that I remember. But we don't get many games commercials here anyway. The Sega Master Systems were good though. Did you every see the Sega bus?
-
I think I read about that ad', it rings a bell, but I've never seen it. The Sega Bus was a bus full of Sega. It was inside that I had my first taste of Sonic. At the time I had my 2600, but my mates had Master Systems.
-
Although I can't recomend this, and I wouldn't want to be seen as encouraging piracy, but there are ways around the Flash registration. But it is in the sake of art. Didn't Van Gogh used to steal paint? I like the comics more anyway.
-
How they coming along? I wanna see some more robot ass grabing action!
-
Atarinvader is sometimes a bit naff, its on a free server, and the demand on the sites is sooo high and all! I think its to do with envy changing there servers over. Steve is cool. Maybe I should design a Bob for Atarinvader! Anyway, I got to get back to my custard pie.

I am only a young'un, at least for another 26 hours (hitting the big one-eight on Thursday!). BTW any of the UK guys (or gurls) want to come to party, its on the 23rd at The Mandrake, Bristol. Anyway, Im pretty lucky because I spend my money on cig's, go out and get drunk, and my 'rents let me keep my Atari stuff in their room. Tops huh? But considering my other hobbies I had when I was younger, Breakdancing and Skating, where I used to come home dripping in blood and with broken bones, Atari is pretty safe. Also, I came out of school with the best grades in the familys history, so they've been pretty cool.

BMX Airmasters is quite simply THE best 2600 game ever. It can pee all over Ms. Pac Man and all the Swordquest games put together! It was a bit tricky for me to find as I don't think it was released in the UK(?), Ive got an NTSC version. Oh BTW Russ are you going to print my review of it? Just that I found the review and reread it, I'd like to redo the whole thing.
