  1. UTOPIA was the greatest! My brothers hated me because that was the only game I wanted to play. I think that is the game that got me hooked on RTS games like Command & Conquer, Homeworld and Star Wars Galatic Battlegrounds
  2. If you want to try and get rid of the flashing screen without buying a new 72-pin connector try getting a NES cleaning kit or Disassemble it like you are going to replace the connect and then Get an old toothbrush, did it in rubbing alcohol, stick into the slots where the cartridge is inserted and carefully scrub. Just make sure that the unit is unplugged and try not to let too much run onto the main board and let it dry completely before plugging it back in. I just did this on another Nintendo I just bought and it works now. I found a site with some good NES info, it is NES Player and as far as Savers goes, I have seen 3 Nintendos at our local Savers and all 3 did the same thing, nothing but a flashing screen. I haven't seen any of the new style NES anywhere. I plan on visiting a Funcoland to see what kind of stuff they have this weekend.

    WOW LOOK

Well as far as the shades Icon, here is the info that might have been changed: quote: User ID History for transformer_addict User ID History Effective Date End Date cartking from Feb 24, 1999 to Aug 28, 1999 gamesaddict from Aug 28, 1999 to Apr 11, 2002 transformer_addict from Apr 11, 2002 to Present *** - Parts of prior User IDs that are email addresses are concealed to protect member privacy. as far as Go Phillies, the baseball season just started so that could be the reason for that. But I think everyone should check out the seller before bidding on an auction, especially if it is something that you will pay hundreds of dollars for. Go DODGERS!!!
  4. Well, I think there could be several reasons 1. The buyers want to play the game: The other auction states that the game works, yours states that the box is "SMASHED" and there is no way of knowing what condition the game is in. 2. your auction is for a sealed game which would interest collectors but a collector would want a box in better condition to pay a bigger amount of money than what you got. 3. The "high bidder" may be the person selling the item and decided that he didnt want to sell it or thought he would get more for it. those are some possible reasons but only the bidders would know for sure
  5. Funny thing is many of the sellers who say "Don't use eBay checkout" accept Billpoint as a payment method and when a buyer uses Billpoint, they have to go through eBay checkout!
  6. Well, I got the new 72 pin connector in the mail today. I hooked it up and the system works GREAT! It cost as much as I payed for the system itself but I think it was worth it. I played Duck Hunt for over an hour! I sure do love that game. Thanks to all who replyed to my call for help!
  7. I think eBay is great! Sure I may have to pay more for the games there but at least I can get games. I have been to every Thrift store within 30 miles of here and found a total of 2 Atari games... Golf and Skiing. But of course I just started collecting 3 weeks ago and I haven't hit any flea markets or garage sales yet. I have a total of 9 games right now, but that should grow when I find the right auction on eBay.
  8. hi again, Thanks for all the help. I cleaned the carts and that didn't help so I messed with the connector and now the carts won't go back in , 1 of the pins got pushed to hard I guess. Oh well, I ordered a new connector off of ebay, I'll see if this helps. Let you all know in a week or so... Thanks again
  9. Anyone know anything about this game? I bought it for $5 and it works fine but I can't find out when it was made. Any help would be great. It is the Radofin Tele-sports mini TV game Model 513 Thanks, Sam the Collectomaniac
  10. Just got it working with a new 72 pin connector! These are far from Classics but I also have Sega Genisis Sega CD Sega 32x Sega Gamegear Sony Playstation Don't know if any of the Intellivisons work, just pulled them out of the shed, looks like they may have gotten damp. 11. I just bought a NES system and it doesn't seem to be working. When I turn it on the screen just flashes and the light on the fron to the console flashes also. The screen just flashes a blue color.... Is this a easy problem to fix or is the system dead? Any info would be great. Also, is there a good NES site out there that would be better equiped to help? Thanks, Sam the Collectomaniac
  12. I am 28 (Aug, 1, 1973) but I bought my first ATARI on 03-05-2002 or 23 days ago. I have an Intellivision that I have had since the early '80's and I just bought a NES today!
  13. Yes, the Atari was my "Dream" console back in the day. We only had the Intellivision and we always dreamed of getting the Atari. I never knew that the Intellivision had better graphics or that stuff, just knew that Atari had all the cool arcade games. The INTV was fun to play but I always thought it was a cheap knock-off of the Atari. Well, my "dreaming" days are over, I finally got an Atari 2600... 3 weeks ago!
  14. Ive only had my 2600 for about 2 weeks but it is hooked to a 13 inch TV here in the den along with the Radofin Tele-Sports "Pong" game I bought today for $5 at Savers
  15. I just picked up my 1st atari (2600a) a couple of weeks ago from a Goodwill for $6.00. It had everything but no games and the power supply was busted. They had some games for 50 cents each and everything seems to work fine (haven't tried the paddles yet).

    Atlantis II

Well, after a lot of checking around I have found no one that ever heard of a Atlantis II in a silver box. Was Atlantis ever in a Silver box? If so I am guessing someone modified the box (added II) to make it appear to be Atlantis II. Still wish I had bought it so I would know for sure.

    Atlantis II

Well, I didn't buy it and it was gone when I went back after seeing the rarity guide. It was in a Goodwill Store in Spanaway, Washington. It was a Silver Box and Atlantis II was printed on the box, not a sticker like the ones in the Rarity Guide. I didn't pay much attention to it, I didnit open it or anything. The only reason I remember it so well is because it was the only silver boxed game there. Since no one seems to have heard of this I will assume it was for another system and not the 2600. Thanks for all the replys. Wish I had bought it so I would at least know exactly what it was. Are there any other message boards I can put this on to see if anyone else has heard of this?

    Atlantis II

Hi, I am new to these boards and Atari games in general. I was looking throught the rarity guide and saw that Atlantis II is rated a 10. I was at a thrift store and saw an Atlantis II in a silver box. Is this the same Atlantis or is it a more common one. It might not have been for the 2600 I didnt pay that much attention. Any information would be great. Thanks!
