Hi there,
here's the list of languages and helpers we actually have
for the DOSMENU file (in order of replies):
01: English (Steve, this is the original)
02: German (walktari, COM-file OK)
03: Hungarian (jvas, lng-file is here)
04: Welch (Tickled pink, lng-file is here)
05: Dutch (Fox-1/mnx, lng-file is here)
06: Polish (bob_er, awaiting lng-file)
07: Swedish (Trooper, awaiting lng-file)
08: ...
I'll prepare a little project website on the weekend for us.
If you are working on the translations please take care of the following:
; Hints: <O> :{this is the original string} - NEVER change this!
; <T> :{type translation here }
; - do not use special characters
; - only use ValidChars = ['0'..'9', 'a'..'z', 'A'..'Z', '!'..'?']
; - try not to exceed length of original
; - take care of leading or trailing spaces: { text }
; - do not delete the delimiters '{' and '}'
; - use editor with a font like courier new, use overwrite mode
Moreover there are some things that can not be translated at the moment.
This applies if a keyboard input from the user is requested, for instance
"Reboot..Are you sure (Y/N)". You have to type "Y" for YES even if it
should be "J" for Ja in German or Dutch and so on. There's just one case
in DOSMENU.COM but there may be more in further files.
Gtx,
Michael
