Yeah, I think it would be completely possible, and I loosely based my picture on Dark Chambers. Someone should hack Dark Chambers and make it more like Gauntlet. That would be sweet.

Just for the record, it is a complete fake. I whipped it together in a paint program one night around midnight when I decided I wanted to see if I could make a realistic Gauntlet screenshot. I'm sure any 2600 programmer would be able to identify many technical errors in the pic. :-)

I'll bet just about everyone that heard of Answer Software's Gauntlet for the first time thought "Could it be the arcade classic for the Atari 2600?" Well, it certainly wasn't. But what if it were?

Hmm, well my 7800 seems to be fully compatible with everything, last time I checked, anyway. I think the Supercharger worked fine... It sounds like I've got quite a rarity on my hands. I think I'll have to investigate further.
