  1. I tried this mod from a secam 2600jr but it didn't work. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...=103217&hl=
  2. I've just noticed something else in that picture.....
  3. It sounds like the wii makes a useful second browser for youtube etc. I was hoping I could just plug it into the phoneline like you can with some of these internet tv boxes without signing up with an ISP.
  4. Looks really good. I wish I'd have waited a while before trying to mod the console myself.
  5. If they ever make a paddle version of the Flashback console, I hope that cannonfire and medievel mayhem are on it I'm sure Atari will pay a very good price for them
  6. I know this sounds really dumb (I don't own a Wii, yet!) but am I right in thinking that there's just a one time payment of $5 for the wii browser, then it's free forever, no monthy fees or charges to your phone bill etc. That sounds too good to be true!
  7. Hi. I've been thinking about getting rid of my PC and buying a Nintendo Wii for both games and internet use. Can anyone tell me if using a Wii browser is as easy or good as using a PC or Mac browser? Thanks Matt
  8. The mod turned out pretty good but there's still some vertical lines spoiling the picture. Does anyone know if adding a capacitor to luma or chroma would get rid of them?
  9. I get the impression things might have cooled off a little. I expect the Flashback portable will re-kindle the publics interest in it.
  10. I remember this tune Sounds good! Does Cannonfire use joysticks or paddles ?
  11. Looks great!. Shame there's no PAL version. I hope the next generation of Flashbacks are dual standard. It would probably increase profits aswell as make distribution a lot easier, especially since there's no power supply to worry about
  12. Here's your chance to try one (it's not mine)http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=017
  13. I've seen the 'mutant fly' commercial before. I think this is how people imagined games would look like in the future.
  14. Consoles must have stole a lot of sales from the computer market.
  15. I think that built in hard drives changed to shape of computers, from the one box type to the desktop computers that most of us use today. I suppose laptop computers are the closest thing we have to a one box home computer. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody made one without the screen so it could be used with a plasma screen or external monitor.
  16. I expect a lot of PS2 fans will buy the PS3, though I think it's too expensive for anyone new to console gaming. Sony ought to consider a PS3 Lite without the hdmi connections
  17. I guess it's common knowledge that the Amiga's first graphics chip was designed by Jay Miners team at Amiga using Atari money, but does anyone know who designed the AGA chip that appeared in later Amiga's? Was this another Amiga/Jay Miner design or was it done by Commodore? Thanks
  18. All this talk of a Gameport portable might encourage Atari to release the Flashback portable sooner. Let the battle commence!
  19. Let's hope so. It would be interesting to know how Atari feel about the Gameport. Selling a console with the assumption that you can download someone elses software seems very un-ethical to me.
  20. I think the new project is coming out before the Flashback Portable. That makes good business sense as anyone who buys the Flashback Portable and downloads free Atari games probably wouldn't buy future versions of the 2600 Flashback. I can't think of anything that's really modern though? Could he be talking about a 2600jr with Activision/Imagic/Parker Bros games?
  21. Great news! What could this project in the 'modern gaming arena' be?
  22. It mentions on the Atari History website that the 260ST had 256k and went into full production during summer 1985. Perhaps Atari thought that programmers would have written some programs (games etc) without using TOS so they could use all 256k.
  23. How about any character that's appearred on an Atari console, computer or arcade machine?
  24. Why am I so excited about a console thats nearly 30 years old? Anticipation is a strange thing.....
