  1. Did the buyer leave any feedback? That would prove the item was received.
  2. I've bought a few new/old Atari items from the U.S and found that the sellers are very helpful. I think the thing that puts people off sending to the UK, is that the seller has to pack an item and then get it weighed before they can quote you an accurate price, and then there's all the paper work aswell.
  3. All this talk of an FB3 computer might not please console fans. How about an 800/5200 in a 5200 Trak Ball case with an alpha numeric keypad in the top left and right corners?
  4. A kids computer could be just the start of a whole range of computers. The Atari lab accessories could be part of a science computer package aimed at teenagers and schools. There could also be a music version with a musical keyboard along the bottom of the regular keyboard (I think Vtech make something similar). Another idea was to make an email phone based on Atari 800 hardware
  5. I had a similar colour problem with a composite mod I did a few months ago. I eventually found that connecting the pins as in the picture link below worked for me. The only problem I've had are a few feint vertical lines, though I think that soldering a 470pf capacitor to the chroma pin would sort it out. There's a picture of the mod here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?a...st&id=70496 Here's the original post: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...=102778&hl= Hope this helps Matt
  6. I'm a big supporter of the keyboard idea, though I think a separate keyboard would make it too expensive for most people. I like the idea of a built in keyboard. If the cursor keys could emulate a joystick then they wouldn't have to include a joystick. The money saved would pay for the keyboard.
  7. Me too, don't know where I'd put it though. It would be great if they could squeeze the electronics into a joystick. I reckon a lot of 80's arcade machines could be 'Flashbacked'.
  8. It's looking really good. I think I prefer the animation on the right. Looks a bit more lava-ry and orange to me:D
  9. ooh, that sounds interesting. I'm kinda on a Star Wars kick right now Sure does, not sure if it's possible though? Didn't the arcade machine use a special vector monitor?
  10. There's a few new/old stock paddles and joysticks on ebay. I just got some Atari paddle 'clones' for £7.99/$16 inc shipping.
  11. Should we say Commodore Six Four and Vic Two Oh
  12. Green eggs and ham, sounds delicious If the Flashback 3 could be an enhanced version of the 800/5200, then what enhancements could it have e.g. faster processor, modem etc.
  13. Not unless Curt turns them all into Flashback consoles Let me see now, a Flashback 7800, Flashback ST, Flashback Falcon, Flashback Star Wars arcade machine..... Matt
  14. Some of us haven't given up yet You've got more brains than I have I gave up 20 years ago!
  15. Thanks guys. I'm hoping the numeric keypads will work out cheaper than the original Star Raiders keypad. Guess I'll have to remember what buttons to press. I don't want to turn the shields off by mistake
  16. NEC make some sound chips for mobile/cell phones that might work. There's a demo here: http://www.necel.com/mobile_melody/en/index.html http://www.japancorp.net/Article.asp?Art_ID=8535 start at $5 each http://smaf-yamaha.com/tools/nec/tools.htm not sure if this link is any use Matt
  17. And then there's the M.A.C.H 3 video http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/games/...diovideo/m3.asp
  18. I've always had mixed feelings about laserdisc games. I like the animated backgrounds, though they really need computer generated characters, as in Star Rider, if they're going to work as proper games. There's some Cliff Hanger stuff here: http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/games/pages/ch.asp
  19. Hi. Can anyone tell me if the numeric keypads that Atari made are compatible with Star Raiders? Thanks. Matt
