No, it's not mine. I found it while searching for new/old Atari stuff. I just thought it was unusual to see something this rare in brand new condition

You know what would be really good? A VCS Game Construction Kit for PC or Mac, similar to S.E.U.C.K (Shoot Em Up Construction Kit) for the C64 or the Activision Game Maker series.

Yeah, it would be really
I think everybody used to dream about writing their own game....until they tried to

I found this picture of a keyboard attachment for the 2600. The FB3 would look great with something like this.

Alter Ego Male/FemaleWasn't Alter Ego a text based psycology game? I thought it was pretty good, though the graphics were a bit poor (there weren't any)

Where can one find the standard DVD version?
I bought a PAL version on Ebay a few months ago. Not bad. You've got the option of playing the game with infinite lives or you can watch the entire game like a film. The only thing I didn't like was the box art. It looked like it had been drawn by someone else.

Looks good
I really like the 1980's style of desktop computers. -

I reckon the Flashback Portable is going to outsell the Flashback 2 by a mile. The great thing about a portable is that you can sell it anywhere in the world regardless of mains voltage or TV standards. I hope any future Flashbacks (7800/Lynx) are made as portables. Well, I expect a Lynx portable would be obvious
BTW, any news about the tv output? I guess it doesn't matter so much with it being a portable, but PAL compatibility would be a bonus.

800 computer in a 5200 casefunction keys/buttons along under the silver strip for pause, select, keypad, etc...
FB2 joystick usage
Front SD card slot acting as D1:
edge connector inside on board to solder an 800 cart connector to for legacy cartridge usage.
Built in SIO2PC connection port for transferring to/from console
footprint for SIO connector to be added
footprint for ps/2 keyboard connector
footprint for vga out
Composite out
Games included would've come on an SDcard
An 800 in a 5200 case would be great, though I think it needs a keyboard aswell.

I hope it makes it here by July/August. Handhelds were made for summer.so is it good that we are seeing a spy shot?this thing had better make it to the stores by Christmas

Will it still have the NTSC TV output that was mentioned before?
SECAM only.

Nooooooo! That was a cruel joke, wgungfu
I hope the joystick port can be configured as port one so you can use paddles with it. Paddles do use port one, don't they ?

Well, we kept putting the top to a CX-40 onto it.... but then there was no place for the screen, sooooo........Wow, that looks amazing !!! Better than I'd ever imagined. I was worried that the woody theme would have made it look too old fashioned but this looks really classy. It gives it a really expensive look. Fantastic

The case design was completed back in November - we brought in one of the top Industrial Designers who has done work for Jensen. I spent a great deal of time detailing the look and lineage of Atari products and how - if production of the 2600 had never stopped - it would've evolved into this very product.Curt
Sounds good. I like the idea of a 2600 'evolution'.
