  1. The global recession could have a big impact on video game sales. People can't afford to spend £40/$50 on a game when they're struggling to pay the bills.
  2. You might find that the composite cable supplied with the Wii looks grainy on an LCD or plasma TV. Try a HDMI cable for the Xbox 360 and a component video cable for the Wii. You can get a cheap Wii component video cable on eBay for around $5 or $6. Edit: Just found this one for under $3. Not sure if it's any good though http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-Wii-Component...%3A1%7C294%3A50
  3. I found this great link for an "Atari 2600 to Vic-20" convertor on the Vic-20 Denial forum: http://www.tomheroes.com/Video%20Games%20F...s/cardapter.htm
  4. It might be worth asking Atari for their written consent before anything is made.
  5. Nice video. Would the FB portable have any built in games?
  6. Perhaps the Z800 and sweet 16 were two separate projects. The Z800 may have been the 800's replacement and the sweet 16 an enhanced 800 i.e 400, 800, 1600?
  7. Anyone know how many colours could be displayed using the 7800's 320 x 200 mode?
  8. I'd like to see some games built into the NES clone.
  9. Will the 100 in 1 cartridge work on a PAL version of the home console?
  10. I like the idea of built in games on the Genesis version Would it be possible to make a PAL version for europe with RGB or component video output?
  11. King of Fighters 12 has some great hand drawn animation.
  12. I was only thinking about this game a few weeks ago. There's a great walkthrough of the NES version on YouTube.
  13. I always wondered why Activision labels looked like that but didn't like to ask
  14. Sounds interesting. Is there a demo on YouTube?
  15. Personally, I'd rather block a thread from 'My Posts' and allow it to be displayed in 'View New Posts'. Is there anyway to delete a thread instead of blocking it?
  16. Hi I've listed a PAL version of Mean 18 Ultimate Golf cartridge for the Atari 7800 on ebay.co.uk for £2.99+p&p. It's tested and working though there's no box or instructions. The auction starts at 8.00pm tonight. Thanks http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=110347419591
  17. The Blu-Ray option might also appeal to Wii owners as the Wii will never be able to play Blu-ray discs. One way of selling the Jaguar II to existing console and computer owners would be to give it a built in broadband modem and wireless router. Other wi-fi consoles and computers could then use the Jag II to connect to the internet or for online gaming.
  18. The idea was to sell it as a Blu-Ray player with video game capabilities
  19. The Jaguar II project sounds very interesting. Could it be programmed to play Blu-Ray discs with 24bit audio?
  20. We need a Commodore 64 and Atari 800XL version!
  21. The rubber band was probably too stretchy. Maybe an 'o' ring would have worked.
  22. We need an Atari Flashback Clock
  23. Yes, options are certainly always being investigated for anything we have in the pipeline. Perhaps we should think of a new brand name, something that would be the spiritual successor to Atari? Aha! Just remembered, numbers cannot be registered as trademarks so it could be sold as a '2600' portable games console or an '800' computer.
  24. If it ends up being released, but not by Atari, what games other than home brews can they put in it? Activision/Imagic (Activision own the Imagic games) might be interested in putting their name on it.
