The torrent file I downloaded for games for the Amstrad is over TWENTY THOUSAND FILES. Even I think that's excessive.

  but how many are repeats, demos, non working copies? I'm sure that knocks it down substantially, unfortunately, it still will be a huge number and a massive junk of it garbage. Good port of donkey kong is a nice point

  Yeah, I would think somewhere in the range 2000-5000 titles might be adequate. Even the GB64 is about 25000 files of which probably 10000 are duplicates and hacks.
