      We've also been a "Nielsen family" at times... and it's true, they do bundle cash into the envelopes they send out. Anywhere from $1 to $20 from what I've received. It's kind of crazy.

      I've also filled out the booklets 3 times or so, but the latest for me was just a quick survey.  You're completely right though, they'd need to change their methods to really keep up with the times, including time shifts (DVR Records), streaming, and live TV, plus whether or not one Fast Forwards through commercials, etc.,...Seems to me I've read about them doing new things, but I'm not sure how their methodology has changed.

      Sounds like they still use the "diary" but it's not the only method of measurement. Like I said above, I believe there's still some value in the self-report, especially if there's variance from the electronic snooping they also do. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_ratings
