  Surely they're only using the paper self-report as some kind of feel-good throwback, right? Or to check people's "aspirations" against what they actually watch? Like wanting to support Masterpiece Theater cos you'd feel bad if it were cancelled, even if you don't watch it?
  
  Because I would think with digital TV everywhere, they have the means to know what is actually being viewed. Maybe not?
