    Watching "Ted" and they are using Atari 2600 Donkey Kong sound effects. That has to be on purpose. Also the SMB screen was totally fake.

      Oh Hell Yeah!!!  That is Awesome!  Is that the one with all 3 extra controllers?  And is there 2 more SD cards and 20 more games?  I assume you got the trackball/paddle games,  but what about that SD card vol. 2?  Just curious.  I may buy one of those yet...Love Space Invaders, Volfied, and all Arkanoid games!

    My new retro passion: adding CAT6 everywhere to the house. Ditched the old wireless router. WOW things suddenly work with a new router.

      Hardwire is the only way to go for fixed machines. I wish my firesticks had RJ-45 ports. I run a wireless mesh for outside, but all the buildings and cameras are hardwired.

    I could only watch the Sonic the Hedgehog movie on shrooms. Only way to watch it without thinking about that incarcerated manchild who did tons of damage to Sega's(and Nintendo's) brand.

    Looking at this Amico launch/proposal is like trying to sell a horse & buggy in modern times.

      The horse-and-buggy niche is probably way larger. I do kind of want to play that moon patrol, but that's about as positive as I can be for now. I hope that at least gets released somewhere even if the console doesn't.

      I really want to play Cloudy Mountain... maybe the new Night Stalker and Shark Shark if the over-the-top graphics don't ruin it.  I'd totally buy these games for a few bucks on Steam or GOG. Hard to justify $300 for them, though.  I wished the Amico all the best and I was keeping my eye on it for sure.  You never know, maybe they'll find a way to pull through and I hope they do.

    Watching Airwolf season 4, they love using Centipede's spider sound effects for computer noises.

      That reminds me of those episodes of Wonder Woman where they used a sound effect from Road Runner cartoons.

      Hah, had the TV in the other room and heard the Centipede sounds - it was a Knight Rider episode, and KITT was scanning something.

    You need to watch "Saturday Morning All Star Hits!" - It is one of THE most bizarre shows Netflix has ever made. Very Adult Swim-like.

    After much waiting, I finally picked up a signal on the CB I set up in the house. It's like a blast from the past. The CB chatter hasn't changed in forever!

      I was too young, but my Grandpa was 23, my Dad was 23-2, so I guess I'd be 23-3, if I needed a handle.

    Randomly decided to play Ikari Warriors 2 via Amazon Games, and it works great on an Xbox controller. Was kicking ass without a rotary controller!

      Actually back when I was stuck with a windows laptop at work I used to use CygWin. I  welcome all to take the step to Linux. :) 

      Indeed  Powershell is much better than putty for ssh control. Im not sure how it handles profiles and ssh keys, bash is better than that, then the next step would be a linux virtual machine (as windows user at my place do), then get rid of windows altogether and transition to Linux.
