      Gah! I would NOT want to return to the days of only playing the games for which I had quarters in my pocket, IF they were around ... AND knowing nothing about them besides what I could read in magazines while Mom was busy in the supermarket!

    So you heard the news that Bonnie Tyler performed "Total Eclipse of the Heart" on a cruise ship during the eclipse. The guy who came up with the idea was a podcaster. Kaneda, of Kaneda's Pinball Podcast. His day job made it possible.

    Was this a thing with 1979 launch games? Of all the TI carts I've seen, I never saw any with labels at the bottom side of the cartridge. Also, I never saw these blue boxes for carts. And to think I thought there was only 2 "generations" of packaging.

    I just bought an HDMI splitter, thinking it was an HDMI switch box. i feel REAL stupid.

      Almost did that myself recently..suprised they even sell the splitters at wall mart who need to play on five TV's simultaneously?

    Felt bad not submitting my feedback in audio or any form, but here goes. Many moons ago, our family went to Brainerd International Raceway. There was a kiosk set up for a video game contest. Of course, I was one of the first to give it a try. The game was Enduro. I don't know what company it was for, but it was fun to play it at this stand.

    My tablet's music app(Samsung) can't do more than 1000 tracks/playlist and there seems to be no "play all" function. Ugh

    OT: Final Burn Alpha is nice, I wish the GUI would just drop you into the game list, instead of having to click a menu option to bring up a dialog to open a game. How many arcade games in FBA are supported in total?

    How much advance time was this Coleco expo announced? It seems like it wasn't enough. If you announce close to a year in advance, you could have more time to get vendors, speakers, attendees, etc.

    There is the separate PinMAME used with Visual Pinball where you can use it, but why include it with MAME? It's not playable there. Strange. The "filter" option always gets me. When you check a box, it removes those form the view. So check to filter OUT games. I always had it thought backwards until now. Again, it could use some clarification.

    I wish they would just work on the GUI a bit. Make it smoother. Make it friendlier. Everything just seems like stubs that a developer might not ever get to. Somehow, I managed to get all my arcade ROMs, and even an obscure console to work, but it wasn't easy. What strikes me as odd is they are trying to emulate just about every electronic device for the past 50 years. I don't see why it needs Mattel Electronic Football emulated.

    Interesting on how a specialized video game convention(ColecoVision) fared. Well, nothing. There was the JagFest(again, super specialized), which thankfully grew into the massive Midwest Gaming Classic that gets thousands of attendees. Maybe they could have got the anime folks in with the Robotech angle, but apparently not. I think even BotCon(a Transformers convention) netted more attendees. Don't over-specialize, I guess. In other news, my Growing Pains reunion con(BonerCon) won't be happening this year. Robin Thicke won't get back to me.

    I'm listening to Retronauts and they did a 52 minute episode on the TI(listening right now). Did you, as a kid, use a TI in the classroom? Ours didn't. We had an Atari 400.
