    Great minds think alike. I referenced the Rubik's snake(I had one as a kid) before listening up to that point on the 'cast. As for Return of the Jedi, I played the one at Galloping Ghost and did amazingly well. I thought I would have smacked into trees left & right, but nope, I buzzed through them. The game gets weird in later levels where you switch back & forth between Endor & outer space with no warning.

    I remember playing ESB at the Starlog store at the Mall of America(long gone now). What I always did during the asteroid stage(which looked like Rubik's Snakes) was just point my gunsight at the lower right corner, and that dodges about 95% of the asteroids. Then I move onto the next level.

    To be honest, I liked that mockup Atari console a few years back that had the full Atari logo on the top. That looked nice. Wish that was orderable as a RPi case or something. The controller looked painful though, but maybe that's just staying in tradition of Atari controllers. heh. As for any sort of "console exclusives", I can't imagine Atari having enough, since most of the company has been gutted. The world of video games has changed since they were the top dog. No chance of a modern day exclusive remake of Air/Sea Battle or other generic-named games like Circus Atari. It will be interesting to see how this pans out. I may just throw a few bucks in the Kickstarter, expecting nothing bak, just for the lulz. If if reaches the goal, and produces nothing, at least there will be some hilarious YouTube videos for years to come as a result.

    I remember, many many moons ago, the endcap a Target in St. Paul having a bunch of gen 1(white box) TI modules. Sadly, no pictures of it except in my head. Surely there's pictures of TI stuff in department stores(Target, Montgomery Wards, etc) in the wild, no? In fact, we should post them here.

    *blows dust off of thread* A New podcast has arrived! Arcade Perfect Should be on iTunes soon. It's about finding the perfect home port of arcade games. Hosted by the Aussie Retro Domination guys. Also, I'm the TI expert. Mostly. Kinda, sorta. I know enough.

    I didn't go to 2DCon. it's way too new, and seems to be completely devoid of anything retro. It didn't get any backing of the local retrogaming scene, nor the pinball one. Midwest Gaming Classic's the only one near us. The second closest are the MN Retro Gaming Society's Facebook group get togethers.

    I didn't know Atari distributed Ikaruga. I'm no good at the game, but it's pretty dang cool. Ikaruga's better remembered by the publisher(some, at, something, right?). heh
