What is your rarest/most valuable NON-2600 game?
Legend replied to Rev's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Lunar silver star and eternal blue for sega cd. -
Another idea I'd love to see is a top-down perspective castlevania game for either the nes, Genesis, or snes. I think it would be a cool variation to the castlevania series. You could do forward whip swings from an overhead view. Of course a brand new original game for any system would be greatly welcomed as well.

I think new ideas and concepts in homebrews would be better than ports in my opinion. I like classic gaming like 2600 for more than just nostalgia. I like them because they are genuinely fun games and many of them can be picked up and played for short periods of time and be satisfied by it. I love to play brand new games for 2600 like Dungeon, Melbourne Tatty and Pirate. I don't really think market should be the main focus to determine whether to make a port or an original game. Most people who make homebrews these days are in it more for the challenge and as a hobby as opposed to making money. That's my understanding anyways. I think the new originals like Charge, Circus Galactus, and the Hero Quest Themed shooter games look like great fun to play. For new ports, I think they should at least add some new innovations, variations, or improvements to make them a unique version of the original for the platform they are being developed for. Like Flap Ping or Medieval Mayhem. I know when I'm done with my move and all the other life issues I have to deal with, I'm going to pick up my first 2600 game I'm designing and it's an original game based on a board game I designed years ago that I think will translate over to 2600 well.

yeah, that'a the one. Sorry for starting another thread about the same thing.

I saw a post somewhere else either here at atariage or another site. Either way, I don't seem to be able to find it again. It poses the question of what homebrew you would like to see and for what system? Personally I'd love to see a 16-bit port/new Bionic Commando game for either the Genesis or Snes.

genesis/segacd/32x combo complete how much?
Legend replied to Legend's topic in Classic Console Discussion
This is where I got my prices. http://www.rarityguide.com/genesis_view.php How much would you guys pay for the whole combo system with all the hookups? maybe all the controllers too as one lot. I have both Lunar games. I double checked. Silver star is 60, but Eternal Blue is $120. I don't have the digital press guide. -
genesis/segacd/32x combo complete how much?

Only 3 of the games are loose and 3 without manuals, but still with the box. 4 are used from blockbuster, so they come in those yellow rental boxes. -
genesis/segacd/32x combo complete how much?
Legend replied to Legend's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I don't have the boxes for the systems. I do have the Genesis manual. Castlevania and contra are both worth about $50 cib. Lunar for sega cd is worth $70 cib. T-mek, Kolibri, and Knuckles Chaotix for the 32x are all worth $50 cib. The sega cd ram cart is about $50 as well. Moonwalker is also almost $50. Almost all the games are cib. I have over 100 of these games, so I can't list them all right now. I'm still gathering everything to get ready for auction. I do have all the cables. I also have the justifier light gun, an incomplete menacer light gun, ascii gamepad, sg fighter stick, capcom soldier controller, genistick, arcade stick, and turbo touch controllers as well as the standard 6 and 3 button controllers. -
I was recently going through my old stuff and came across my sega stuff. I have many genesis, 32x, and sega cd games. I was planning on putting it all up for sell. I was able to find pricing guides for the games, but not the controllers and consoles themselves. Anyone know where I could find that info? I have the genesis model 1, sega cd model 2, and 32x combo. All omplete with all adaptors and hook ups. I was planning on selling it as one whole unit instead of chopping up and selling each separately. Also, what's the best way to sell the games? As one big lot or separately? I have a few games that are worth between 50 and 70 bucks. Thanks for any help I get.

What about a rock star boxing game? Alice Cooper, Axl Rose, Slash, Blackie Lawless, or Zakk Wylde and Ozzy? That might be kinda hard to make look right though. It would still be a fun idea though.

I second the idea for adding Bently Bear and ET. Maybe one of the dragons from Adventure would be cool.

Is the rom available for this one to try on an emulator?
-
Sounds like a cool game. Could use some sound and a little more variety though. 100 rooms seems like a bit too much especially since you are only looking for 3 runes. I just played a few rounds and never even found a rune. I Think the cops take away a little bit too much health for running into so many of them and there being so many rooms. Maybe if they shot at you instead. Just my opinion.

I like the ideas for the four towers. The wizard idea is cool. Maybe an alternate would be to let the wizard powerup let you shoot horizontaly as well for a limited time after you touch it instead of teleporting. Any updates?

Repo was an awesome movie. Wish I could see the stage play. A game based on repo would be cool. Go around reposessing body parts for genco and rack up points for bigger organs and such.

Legacy Engineering USB joystick unpacking
Legend replied to orpheuswaking's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Cool. I'd definitely like to be added to the list when the buttons are available. I had another quick question. I heard that the stick is moddable and you can add up to 10 buttons total. Would it be possible to get a booster grip and wire the buttons on the booster grip to the controller? Just curious. -
I was just looking at this again. I just noticed the death animation. Very cool looking. Any progress?

ANyone from Full Moon video ever show up there? It would be cool to see a puppet master game for 2600. Or any system for that matter.

Legacy Engineering USB joystick unpacking
Legend replied to orpheuswaking's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I got mine earlier this week and I am happy with it, though I also feel the fire button to feel a little "mushy". I was wondering how easy/hard will it be to replace the button? I don't have a soldering iron or anything like that. What will be needed to replace the button ourselves. -
Damnit Dungeon (or Fredy vs Jason vs Ash)- where to start?
Legend replied to Legend's topic in batari Basic
Yeah I do get around. Musician/board game designer/ artist/beer drinker and hellraiser. lol. Hopefully I can add 2600 game programmer. You played my original game? cool. Glad you like it. Did you play both the 2 player version and the solo version? You try Mortuum or Shrine? I think I posted links in the same thread on BGG. I gotta re upload them though. Maybe give them their own page on the geek. ANyways, I'm still working on learning the programming. Hopefully have something playable in a month or so. I hope the game translates well over to the 2600. I'm also working on another pnp game. There is a thread on the geek. It' called Dark Valhalla. -

Still tinkering with learning bB. Reading the manual and whatever tutorials I can manage to find. I'm not going to post anything until it's playable.
