Wow, quite a stir over this game. It was not easy shelling out the coin for it on ebay, hands down my most expensive single game purchase ever. I have been selling a lot of other goods on ebay, & will make up for it. At least if my roof caves in, or truck blows up, I know I got something of value to sell on ebay later on.. Haha! It is an addictive game, pretty hard at times. Tempest is still my favorite & probably one of my all time #1 games. Nice to have the Jag back.

I got Battlesphere in the Mail today. Just spent about 30 minutes playing it before I did anything else. Its a good game, I know I paid a ton for it, but its a good part of Atari History thats only going to get tougher to find. ITS HARD! I got very frustrated during the training missions, as you have to restart all of them each time. So I went right to free for all. I got my A! Handed to me, but its a fun game indeed! I am happy & look forward to putting some more time into the game! I am about to move the Jag upstairs so I can try it out on the big TV.

I posted a link to the Auction below. Yeah it was a lump of cash to throw out, but I am excited to see the hardware pushed to the extreme. I honestly only purchased the jag to put some time on Tempest mostly & some defender, for those are the only two games I played much when I had a Jag new back in 1996. The more I read the boards & watched videos online of Battlesphere, to see a game that came out soo long after a systems demise, I just had to play it. I am hoping it will be worth the overtime worked for the cash on hand to enjoy the game & add it to my collection. Honestly, I do not see much out there to pick up for the Jag right now, maybe a few titles here along the way... I should have it in a couple days, I am going to move the Jag upstairs to the 32" LCD on the wall :-) Ebay Link to the Battlesphere I won!

I GOT IT I GOT IT! Battlesphere Gold via eBay for $455, sadly the original buy it now price was $20 cheaper, but from what people have told me to expect to pay, I think I did ok. I am hopeful shipping is quick so I can get a chance to try it out this coming week. I am anxious to see just what the jag can do when a game takes full advantage of the hardware!

We shall see how all falls. The sad thing is, the guy had a buy it now of $435, I logged in to Buy It Now at that price & someone bid on it by the time I got back to the auction! I watched the last copy of Battlesphere go for $385 just last week. I love the Jag, I had one back in 1995 that I got on clearance.. but parted with it just over a year later when I got a N64. I played the hell out of tempest & defender. A lot of the games did suck, but the ones that were fun were a lot of fun. I remember reading in game magazines about battlesphere when it finally came out. Too bad I was out of the loop them. I am Patient, My Jag is in my collection for good this time. I just purchased a bulk of stuff off ebay.. on collection with about 20 games & two Jags + CD drive For $285 & scored a local sale of a Jag + two controls for $10.50. All said & done I parted everything out & sold it off on eby & only kept what I wanted. I kept my Jag, Tempest 2000, Defender 2000, Missle Command 3D, Wolfenstien, Plust the Jag CD set up. I was able to sell everything else & get $150 of my money back :-) I do not think I did bad! I am not planning on a big Jag collection, just some good games & hopeful Battlesphere tops them off! Ok.. back to some Tempest :-) Wish me good luck on Battlesphere!

Thanks! I never clicked on the box icons before. I can see Gold appears to have a lot of improvements! But from those who have played both.. Is one that more stunning than the other? I am anxious to play this game, lets see what ebay does for me!

So I got all my Jag gear hooked up. Been playing Tempest more than anything else. Battlesphere I am determined to own this game, I have seen a few on ebay in just the last month. Questions? BattleSphere & Battlesphere Gold? What's the big difference... anything major or basically the same game? I am not looking for the big collector value, I just want to play the game & see what its all about. Its just money right

Thanks everyone... I have played a lot of the games you all reccomended. I actually had a good collection & traded in some of the good ones towards N64 stuff... the rest I solf fort $70 I had a Jag with 1 regular & one pro controller & the composite cables Tempest 2K (loved it) Defender 2K (loved it) Missle Command 3D (fun) Checkerd Flag Cybermorph Iron Soldier Kasumi Ninja (terrible game) Power Drive Rally (fun) Doom Aliens vs Predator (traded it in, was not a big fan actually) Ultra Vortex (not too bad) Raiden Cannon Fodder Treavor Mcfur (awful) Super Burnout (Fun) Fight For life (too little too late) but sort of fun I also had a memory track cart only because it was like $5 I traded in a few of the newer games & then sold the lot for $70 (sniff) I love the more retro arcade stuff.. Tempest being the reason the Jag came into my possesion. It was $59 just after xmas 1995 for the Jag & I grabbed up Tempest, then over the next year or so just kept picking up stuff.. it was my 1st new system since my turbo grafx. I had a blast, but moved on to new hardware (N64) & just sold it off. I am going to grab a few fun games, try some of the new stuff I can get my hands on. maybe if I get really caught up work some overtime for a copy of battlesphere at some point (haha) that game protector looks good & seems to have got some good reviews. I may try iron soldier 2 on the CD, I remember the original being a bit of fun. I love the retro gaming, I own over 50 games for my turbo & 30 for my dreamcast. The Jag will have a good home :-)

Yeah, there is enough new fun stuff to get my attention, honestly I am just looking forward to Tempest & Defender. I did get to try the CD drive out once way back & played just the pack in games.. not too impressed with Blue Lightning... at least not nearly as impressed as I was with the game on my Lynx (yup still have the lynx, its beat up bad though) I did order Battlemorph off ebay & looking forward to trying that out. Just the basics, I am not going ot hard core collect, just get the handfull of fun games. It will look nice next to my TurboDuo :-)

Yeah, its not going anywhere this time. Back then money was tight, a little older, a little wiser, a lot more income for fun purchases. Too bad I missed things like battlesphere & such... I remember reading on all the "coming soon" games, nice to see some stuff saw the light of day or at least tried. I am surprised at what a lot of games/accessories are going for now.

Hello All Just throwing an introduction out. I just recently aquired a Jagaur Package off ebay with a decent lot of items. System, CD, various games, ect... I am quite excited to have one again to add to my collection. I currently have a Wii, Gamecube, N64, Dreamcast (30 games), & my favorite TurboDuo with over 50 games arcade card, kisado converter ect... I have done some stupid things over the years with gaming. One blunder being the trade of a Turbografx with the CD add on for a PSX back in 1999. I had recently aquired a Duo & wanted a Playstation, would do anything to get that setup back as it was my oringal Turbo purchased when I was in highschool. Other blunder.... selling all my Jaguar stuff for the sum of $70 in 1997 not long after I got a N64. I did not have the Jaguar long, I got it right after xmas 1995 bargain bin for $59, over the year or so I had it I collected about 10 games, a couple now are fairly rare. I had the AV cables, the pro controller & sold it to all to a guy I was in the Army with for $70. Dumb Dumb Dumb.... I was thinking of getting a Jaguar & a copy of just tempest for fun.. But then the bug got me & I spent more than a few $$$ on a decent set up. Look forward to some vintage gaming on the Jag & I have to be honest, I am overly surprised in the ongoing fan base & support in existance for what was considered a lost cause 10 years ago (do the math) I am expecting all my gear in shortly & I am very excited. Happy Gaming everyone~
